It's OK but after using it you can't turn it off fully and it absolutely rapes your battery, second only to the screen in battery usage... Go to settings battery, click on the app and force stop to prevent it doing so... Should not have to do so though...

The app is generally good and provides some useful functionality to VW's smallest car. The satnav works well and the ability to use handwriting recognition on the touchscreen to enter addresses or search for particular songs is a bonus. The one thing which does need fixed is that the maximum mpg shown in the driving data screen is capped at 49.9mpg (as others have already commented - the same issue also seems to be affecting the equivalent Skoda & Seat branded apps) This issue really needs to be fixed for the app to be useful as the up!/Citigo/Mii are capable of more than 49.9mpg A little bit more documentation wouldn't go amiss either to help new users understand the app in more detail. Edit 8th July With the new v2.0 app, the 49.9mpg cap has been removed, and the instantaneous mpg display now shows a maximum of 200mpg, and the average now shows values of more than 49.9 as well :-)

App no longer works after phone has updated to android 8.0 it just crashed on start up.

Good app works well mostly, but when it crashes it crashes and locks up the radio as well and you have to turn off the car to reset it.

Cannot download map. Download stops at max 2%. Pointless having the app then.

Please update to Android 8.0 compatible. App forces closes on launch and I was starting to enjoy using it! Will update my score if you update your app.

It's ok. Prefer it to using the older Garmin sat nav in previous up but like others have said it's a bit basic. Does seem to have to reconnect for no apparent reason several times on a journey. And the mpg readout only goes to 49.9mpg. Could also do with being able to add favourites to the navigation maybe a speed limit reminder for the road your on. Even though the apps quite simple there are some buttons in the nav that I have no idea of their use since there's no documentation. All in all just about OK.

The app is extremely cumbersome to navigate. The app cannot distinguish between a scroll movement or a handwriting movement. There is no way of cancelling a navigation trip unless you have reached your destination. This app is poorly executed and not worth the money at its current state. VW can really do better. Time for an update.

Difficult to use, limited functionality, unable to download Europe map in Samsung S7 (it was ok with S6) download stops with message 'something went wrong' ... What where how , VW does not give a hint

Cumbersome, unintuitive app, does not enhance the user experience of a great little car - surely VW can do better? Desperately needs an update.

Music is a pain to play No way of resetting trip readings Kills your battery 3d map detail is very poor Needs constant reconnecting to car I expect more from VW than some half arsed attempt at saving money on garmins, making customers use their phones with a poorly made, buggy application...it has the potential to be useful and fun if the app is sorted out....

Needs support to Spotify and waze

Painfully Bad! Refuses to download maps when offline and you must consume data plan to download large file only when in the car! Searching gets confused between scroll gestures and "handwriting". Searching with handwriting while in Contacts brings up Music results! Can't find playlists on mobile, And so on... Forget it. Go for a car with a proper screen instead fiddling with this app.

The map navigates and the music plays. But poor user friendliness. Scrolling the music list is a pain because it starts registering your touch as handwriting and you can't disable that. You can't tell it to go to "albums" as default instead of "tracks". The map part lets you set a home address but stores it as a road and.. How do you actually use the home address? And where do you /can you even set favourite addresses at all? Where are the settings that allow you to control and toggle features in usage?

Downloaded app and bought the cradle for my '17 plate move up. I have connected to radio via Bluetooth and can use the phone and listen to music through the radio but the app just keeps asking me to pair my device with the radio when it already is!! Looked for help online but nothing and I don't know where to go for help.

Its a great app that really suits my UP! And is great to use, maybe for next update make the navigation a tad more intuitive and some more meters to choose from like speed or the amount of fuel left. With that said, a great addition to an already great car!

Do you need to have the holder to connect? this will not work on my brand new 2017 move up, it does not connect (i dont have the holder yet but can order one if someone confirms it will work)

South African maps will not launch. Using Samsung S7 edge. App gives very little additional info. Just a gimmick and not worth the cost or effort.

Think it's rather expensive for just an app which by the way is using my phone not VW. Prefer the old satnav Tbh. This is a rip off we're just paying for the holder.

Excellent app, adds class to the dash, Galaxy Note 4 fits perfectly in phone holder supplied by VW despite saying for phones up to 5.5 inch screen

Imposible descargar los mapas de latinoamerica. Se corta a la mitad, y hay que empezar de nuevo en mi Galaxy S7 . Además, desde que instale la App la batería me dura la mitad. Ya la desinstale.
