Packstation mTAN Widget & App

Isn't it annoying having to find that text message containing your Packstation access information? Or have you ever tried to get your parcel from the wrong Packstaion - just because you didn't notice there was a different Packstation number in that text message?

Use this widget to easily access all of your Packstation information. It collects all information from the DHL text message and shows it on your homescreen (or even your lockscreen - if supported by your Android version). So you just need to unlock your phone and check which Packstation to go to and what mTAN number will open the locker. Tap the app icon or the widget to read the text message containing all data, including address information. If necessary, Google Maps will guide you there.

With a tap on the button, you can set a notice that you have picked up the parcel. The widget will show a green checkmark, and the app dialog will tell you the pickup date.

The app does not require credentials or even internet access.

Required permissions:
• Read SMS or MMS (to be able to access that text message from DHL)
• Receive SMS (to be able to intercept incoming text messages)

Important information:
• When the app tells you that "no information could be found" then ther is no text message from DHL in your inbox. Without this text message, the app will not be able to collect any information.
• From Android 6, the required permissions must be confirmed when the app starts for the first time. So tap the icon after installation and grant access to the required permissions. Once this is done, you can add the widget to your homescreen.
• The app stores your mTAN number only temporarily. You should not delete the DHL text message unless you have picked up your parcel.
• The app has no control if your operation system allows to add widgets to the lockscreen. Some Android versions have this feature, but some manufacturers switch it off in their own versions of the operating system.
• If the widgets do not show up in the wdgets list, the app might have been installed to external memory. Go to your app manager and move the app back to internal memory to fix this.
• This is not an official DHL app. The aothor is in no way related to DHL.

Reviews saying something like "does not work" are both wrong (have a look at the video; thousands of users use the app - including myself) and useless. If something doesn't work the way you would expect it to work, there can be multiple causes. Leaving a bad review doesn't help anyone. So please send an e-mail if there is something to complain about. Write your review after you had a chance to thoroughly test app and widget.
