Shake Calc - Calculator

It's not possible to add more than a few numbers at a time, the result disappears when you switch to another app & go back to check the number. A very, very basic app for calculations. I presume anyone who needs a calculator app would want even a minimal increase in sophistication. Ultimately, I uninstalled & am trying out another.

The calculator that came with my phone did not have % so after reading reviews I tried this and one other. This is the bomb diggidy.

This app. has all you need plus a few colorful themes and a quick shake will get you proper answer. What more could you ask for, but it to talk to you. A+++

By far the best calculator among about a dozen I tried. The Classic theme is a perfect blend of color and clarity - much sharper looking than the default Colorful theme. I don't see the point of the shake function and never use it, which makes the app's name off target from my point of view. Anyway, a great tool!

great calculator - recommended! tried some of the others that come up first in the store and are not as good - can someone tell Google to organize them somehow? if you look for calculators and then try to sort them by popularity, the whole (*#%( list of apps comes up - not just calculators! this is obviously a bug in the store but try to get any message across to Google!

The current version of Android on galaxy s series uses the former help button to display all open apps. This makes changing the garish keypad to classic gray, red, black impossible. Do you have suggestions? Could you assign long press function to a visible key to access settings? I love this app but will have to switch to another. From 5 stars before to 1 star now, at least temporarily...

I like this cuz my nook did not come with a cacukator so this helps alot

I like that calculator, that is a nice calculator. Nice settings menu and nav, all the fuctionality i want, history and custom saves. And no bloated permissions! nice

Can't understand why its been so hard to find a decent calculator app. Aside from being off phone, the first thing a smartphone should do is calculate! Really like the calculation history feature!

Still great little calculator. Usually do maths in head, but find in a queue after shopping noise arround me can't always trust my brain. Use calculator instead. BRILL. Thank you

This is the best calculator I could ever find in the whole Google store. Easy to read, nice large keys, don't have to squint, I am legally blind so take my word. It is very nice! Thank You! Gary Powers

Wow its so easy to use! Should've downloaded this calculator before the other junky ones I've used. Thanks shake calc! (Lol I sound like the annoying commercial for custom ink)

This calculator handles everything I need to do. I particularly like the parentheses keys for grouping. The default calculator that comes with the S4 won't even allow for multiple additions withot hitting the "=" key. You will definitely want this app. The "Shake" function is cute but totally unnecessary.

i disabled the shake function because it's just useless to me. a little gimmik. anyway it's the calculator that i use instead of the stock one. since monts. download it and you won't regret it :)

This is by far the best calculator app I have seen. Very easy to read and use. My hat's off to you.

It would be nice if you had the option to shut off the vibrate on the key taps.....otherwise nice app. Thanks for the response. No more vibration!!

Does what it claims. To adan that gave this 1 star: Learn how to use parentheses, it DOES know how to calc negs. 3-(-3)= 6 dummy!

I like the format and the features but I find it responds slower than the stock app. Looking for something better.

Plain, simple, attractive & (somewhat) customizable UI. Very straight-fwd, capable and sophisticated when it needs to be for more complex operations. The % function just plain works...! Well done.

Easy to read & enter figures even if you have fat fingers! Love it the best calculator I have had on any mobile device!

Great for basic calculating especially whilst out on the go. Nice & clear screen with a choice of colours and a percentage button!!

Very helpful and if your doing advanced things in high school it has all the right tools

Finally a NO-nonsense app. It does what its supposed to do and that's it! No commercials try to get you to buy something you DONT want.

My favorite calculator app. Easy to read with 3 different selectable color themes. And best of all, you can set it to shake which when you do, will produce your total. Yes, a calculator can be fun.

As soon as I upgraded my phone this calculator was the first app to be reinstalled. Google should buy it from the developer and make it the stock calculator that comes with android phones.

Thanks to Ralf for not only a great app but immediately responding to what I thought was a bug, and turned out to apparently be a default calculator which appeared on my 4.2.2 Nexus 7 and took on the Shake Calc name. I was able to disable that possible default and reinstall Shake Calc. Nice work, Ralf!

I used to like this calculator, loved to use it, but all the sudden there's changes and I can't even switch between looks anymore. The settings button doesn't show up anymore. So I removed it and then reinstalled it thinking it would show up , and it didn't so bye bye.

Galaxy Note 5. Had this on my older phone and loved so put it on my new phone. Like the color keyboard.

I noticed you have X to the power of 2 (square root function) but can you add X to the power of 3 (i.e. cube root function). My son is being asked to use this on his calculator at school and it is not on this one. Otherwise have to say he loves this calculator. He is dyslexic and the color keys are great for him to the point it's been such a huge success for his learning, I wish I could purchase a handheld for him that he can take into exams like this as alas he won't be able to use in them being on a phone.

I mostly like it's simple and clean look and that it has percent and history of calculations is a super feature. Extremely useful for people working with many numbers, traditionally you cannot double check for mistakes.. But with this its easy!!

Just wanted a simple calculator with a % button. My new moto g stock calculator didn't have one. Even better this App has no permissions required to use .

I have Multiple Sclerosis and my vision isn't as good as it was before. I like the vibrant colors and large numbers and functions. VERY EASY TO USE.

To Issam Abaza~when I read ur comment about this app belonging in the 'semi-scientific calculator section' where I some investigating. But I found that this category is just not there. I like u Assam but next time please check if ur going 2 be a critic about something that doesn't even exist. When it comes 2 this app, I think it's excellent. Nice & simple. Yet has all the bells & whistles you'd expect with any type of sci-calculator of this nature. Well done.

Amazing fun thing just one thing though the percentages- say 59%-45% it does 0. and then some random numbers (which is very annoying for me). Though all in all really good.

Not just for its simple but functional layout but the superb emphasis on quality and attention in spite of being free. Also requires zero permissions!

As a gas engineer ive update my software to android. This calc is much better dan my default. No bugs at all
