Tutanota: simply secure emails

Really want to use your email but your taking way to long to push out the beta for mobile. In it's current state it's useless to me. And after reading the reviews from people and your replies, it's going to be another 5 or 6 months before we see anything from you guys. Sorry!

Got this because I'm not a fan of Gmail (or other invasive email servers for that matter) definitely does the job. Excellent platform for secure email account, love that they put privacy first.

Can't log in. Have changed my password and still no success. Running latest version.

Would really like the ability to see the subject title / message preview in the notification.

Good start. When you want to share an item tutanota is not in the share list like whatsapp or protonmail.

Genuine privacy & security. Pro's : They don't demand personally identifying information to register a new account, they don't secretly leak data to third party servers, timely security & bug fix updates, servers are fast & reliable. Con's : The promised 'new client' & new features has been dragging on for years & years I paid the modest price for a personal premium account. Still waiting for business class features to appear...

The UI is laggy, you need to make it smoother!

Guys please fix bug: When trying to type in an email address. If I deny tutanota access to my contacts I can't send email. (Samsung S7) The mail service is good, I like how it works with great end to end encryption. Do look into improving the loading time for the inbox takes about 3 to 4 second wait for each launch.

I've been a Tutanota user since some years and I am quite happy with the service they provide. It's worthy and affordable to buy the premium version. However, the android app has room for improvement (its speed, or lack thereof, is my main complaint). I'm anxiously waiting for the release of the next version. Keep up the good work :)

Used to like this app. But everytime I use my phone to send emails it fails. I attempted to type a new email address to send an email to a close friend and it automatically closed the app five times once for each of the five times I attempted to send her an email. So not happy. Why is it not letting me send an email to someone I haven't done already? Yet it lets me send emails back to people who have emailed me first?? Waste of time. Will have to find a new email provider now. Which I'm not happy about. The app is rubbish, not pleased at all .

Tutanota keeps making promises for YEARS and telling to fix stuff for MONTHS AND YEARS (LITERALLY!) but never delivers anything over years. They do not take care of their own service whatsoever OR there is only one guy working on everything since years maybe. Either way, nothing happens and nothing is done what should have been done already. I canceled my premium account and would not recommend this email service to anyone actually.

I am super happy with tutanota. Naturally I am a very skeptical person, so I am not very sure how much to rly trust this provider, BUT compared to all the others, this is still my favorite one. Super sleek and simple kept app for Android - just love it and never had any issues with it on my meizu pro5 phone.

I love Tutanota's email service though this app leaves much to be desired. The splash screen takes way too long, lack of a search feature, can't enable images like the browser version and half of the time I can't open an email because when I tap on it it's non-responsive. Maybe it's just my crappy phone? I don't know but none of my other email apps exhibit similar issues. I really hope to see an update soon, aside from the app, Tutanota is my favorite email provider. I never want to use Gmail again and Tutanota is the answer. You guys are awesome. Thank you.

Good to have secured email alternative. Just one issue that i have currently.When opening attachment with same file name e.g mystatement.zip frm ur bank statement, it wil always show the latest u had opened. Using file commander or office app same result. E.g open 12 oct email, then try to open 9 sep email that containt same file name, it wil give 12 oct content.

Absolutely the worst email app ever created. Does not sync with desktop version, fails miserably with attachments like pdf, zero updates... spend your money elsewhere. This is an amateur app and a miserable email client.

I mean not to discourage you from downloading this app because it does deliver. The sensation of knowing that I finally have a private messaging service is amazing! Who'd a thunk it? But, there is so much spam email!!! Everyday, I have to move 10 to 20 messages from my inbox to my spam folder. I really, really encourage the developers of TutaNota to improve their spam filter.

Working fine until I tried to read mail with no Internet connection. I re-establish connection tried app again and.everything greyed out, no active screen! I uninstalled via playstore and then installed. Works but no longer have the choice of 2 email accounts at home screen. I now have to logout then select other account- retype email and password to go to second account. To go to first account - log out and again retype as no option to choose the account from a list. WHAT HAS HAPPENED?

Deeply flawed. On desktop tutanota is what it says it is - a simple, clean, secure (I hope) email interface and I like it a lot. The Android app is similar BUT: 1. If another task intervenes or if I try to attach an image, tutanota crashes and I must log in all over again. 2. If the above happens, the message I was preparing is lost, not saved to Drafts as with the desktop version. 3. Furthermore, I cannot 'save to Drafts' an unfinished message. Either send it as is or lose it. ProtonMail, although lacking the clean simplicity of tutanota, is much less likely to crash.

Would be amazing to have more control over the emails unsend self destruct features and at least 1 free alias. Having the app on fdroid would help as well. Thank you for all your hard work

Too slow to open. Why is there a splash page that takes many seconds to continue to my inbox. No search. Good service but your app needs a lot of work.

Love love love the app, but I am deducting a star because it takes far too long to open past the splash screen even on a Sony Xperia XZ Premium. I know you're working on it but you'll get your final star when it's done. At least add a little "Decrypting..." at the bottom so people don't think the app is intentionally slow. Would also like to see a Dark theme. Thanks ❤️

Fight Goolag and support privacy. Kindly implement some sort of pin, passcode, pattern type security on app launch beside the account password.

Update: Received emails containing the error message: "This element is corrupted and can not be displayed correctly". I try to access my account from a PC instead but I forgot my password (you insist on making passwords difficult.) Try to delete account from within my account on Android phone but it asks for password - which I don't have! Try to contact you to ask you to delete my account - it's impossible. Now this problem...an active account I can't delete. Uninstalling.

The app is ok, however, for an email client it lacks a fundamental function. You can not search your mailbox. Tracking down that email from last month is a nightmware

Great app to access my email account. Nice clean design and easy to use with no issues. Will be adding an extra star when either fingerprint/2fa is available. But so far love it. Thanks. ????????
