Locate via SMS

In few words: it does what I need. Great fro tracking my son. I was having issues on my Nexus 5 where I was unable to send the SMS request (may be a local issue), and now that I moved to my Moto G4, I re-installed it and it works just fine. I thought I had issues with re-enabling the Premium Plus feature I purchased, but it was fixed before the author emailed me back, and the software works perfectly. Very useful to track my son as he is doing lots of bicycle in the parks and I can track him. This is why I went ahead and got the Premium Plus.

My son doesn't keep his wifi or data on all the time, so I need a tracker that works via phone signal. I installed on both our phones, fully enabled, made sure all settings were correct. When I tried tracking his phone, It told me the app either wasn't installed on his phone, or he had trackability disabled. But yet he received a gibberish text the app sent to him from my phone? I then tried my location, it had me Munich (I'm in the States). I even had my data on.

Works great. But app won't work with parentheses. Most of contacts put ( ) around area code but app won't recognize it as a valid phone number. I emailed the bug to developer but I never got a response. Fix this bug and I'd give it 5 stars.

I installed the premium to track my car in case if it stolen. I tested it when I was home and it gave me my location which is right. But when I went to work and liked to test it again, it gave me home location too. I thought i left my other phone in home, but no i checked and it was in my car at my work place. So it reported the previous location.

I installed "Locate via SMS" and then added "Locate via SMS Premium Plus" on my Moto E (Android 5.1). Unfortunately, "Automatic Tracking" does not work well. it sends the location 1-2 times and then stops working. All other functions work well so far. ***************************************************************************** BTW, tracking SMS DO show in the default SMS app. So I am wondering whether or not it's in principle possible to add a feature of hiding tracking SMS. Possibly, Android OS 5+ prohibits this unless rooted. So it would be nice to have a rooted version of the app.

This application it worth bad no track just a prank .it make you loose your data plan and sms units.and spying on you and your mobile.

Giving problems after android 6 upgrade on my S5 .

Doesn't work with non-GSM phones at all. Author doesn't care. Worthless!

See 'Kid Control' app on play store. Kid Control just missing SMS locator. SMS should be the second option if second device unable to trace by Data or Internet.

Pls dnt download guys.. Idiots i was not able to track my mom lost phone stupids when these people cannot do best, i don't know why they fool peoples... Iam staying in India its showing location of Japan, stupid on that u idiots charge on SMS...

The developer hides the fact that after 15 trial texts, the app stops working until you pay $1.99 for premium version. Should say this right in the description and be honest with people!

Work perfect even without wifi and data. My only concern is that i would like to set the text message like saying something like Where you are? I mean when I use it to find my sun he get a message like this tSoSnS&1&1&120 and then he know I am tracking him. Would be perfect if i can change that for Where you are? For example.

Fair pricing model, seems reliable so far (which is the single thing that matters for this kind of app). The only thing that seems to be inaccurate is the app description which states that the tracking SMS doesn't show in the default SMS app. For me at least it does show up.

Finally a location app that does not require a data connection. This is the case of our phones at home. We have unlimited SMS, but no data, given the rates we have to pay in Canada. We were looking for an app to help locate our son, and I found yours. I tried on my Nexus 5 sending the sms to myself, and it worked. Since my son also has a Nexus 5, the compatibility should not be a problem. Tried it today, and it worked perfectly with my son's Nexus 5. Only one problem: If I select him from the contacts in my GMail, the parentheses, dash, commas, etc are taken in the SMS phone number and give me an error. I have to manually edit it to only have the digits. If this bug can be fixed, I'll upgrade right away !!!

Perfect best app only latest update will not install I have seen same sporadic error code 504 with others apps donot uninstall to try from scratch otherwise you screwd and forced to move on.

I gave 4 stars only because maybe it should show who installed it in our phone directory..

5 stars for conception, ---- But on Motorola OK, and with HTC [ Track ] button does not exist, empty place [ ] I can write a number but where click ? ? Trick : send manually : [ tSoSnS&1&3&120 ] to other phone and wait for answer .
