The podcatcher app uses the following access rights on the device:

android.permission.INTERNET

The app needs access to the internet connection of the device to provide data that is needed for the app to work. This data consists of audio- and video data
of podcast the user plays or requests on the device and meta data of podcasts that is needed to display the available podcasts on the device.

android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

The app needs access to the available network connections to ensure the app and the in-app-services to work properly, in special downloads of audio- video and picture data using the wifi-connection of the device and / or the mobile connection.

android.permission.WAKE_LOCK

The app needs permission to disable the dimming of the display, to ensure display won't switch off while video is playing on device screen.

android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE

The app needs read access to the phone state of the phone, to perform proper actions (Muting playing audio, minimizing program-/video window) to ensure client is able to use the phone while the app is in use.

android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW

this permission is needed to show the floating window for audio and video
