Hot Spot Starter

S7 Edge (Nougat) + Eonon Head Unit. Wonderful. Usb modem I could never get to work so this little gem makes sharing internet a breeze so I can get traffic updates on my Nav app and more without having to fiddle with settings every time I go anywhere.

awsome app. does what it's suppose to do. I have a small feature request: spotify currently has an issue where you have to force disable the app before you can use android auto. the same car where this car connect its blutooth. is there a possibility u can force close an app once on connecting?

Works great. I got this to activate mobile hotspot automatically when my phone connected to my car stereo via Bluetooth. And switch it back off again when it disconnects. It works perfectly for this!

Using Google Pixel. Starts the hotspot fine, however device not able to get an IP. (Device is Joying car radio). However when I stop and start the hotspot manually it does get an IP. It seems to start the hotspot in a bad state... Any help?

Doesn't start hotspot automatically. Pretty unreliable, sometimes it turns on but you have to press OK to accept within 10 seconds, otherwise it cancels. Most of the time though it doesn't turn on

Works perfectly on a OnePlus 5 phone. It is a great convenience being able to forget to turn on the hotspot when I get in my car (Mazda with Mazda Connect) - the app connects to Bluetooth which turns on the Wifi hotspot so the car updates traffic reports etc over the WiFi. Note, on Nexus 5X the app does not work (tried two different Nexus 5Xs).

Buyer beware, only works on old version of Android. This should be stated in the description until it can be fixed! Hotspot is part of the android API now, and can't be turned on by apps after 7.1 or so. Description says what it's been tested on, and maybe they really do work okay, but if you have newer, you can't use it.

I have the new Samsung Galaxy 8S with Android 7.1. If my Bluetooth is already on when I enter my vehicle with another Android device also running Android 7.1 nothing happens. If my Samsung is Bluetooth is off and I turn it on it asks to connect and it says it will turn the hotspot on but it doesn't.....I still have to manually toggle the Hotspot.....what I am missing here?

Does not work on galaxy s6 latest OS (November 7th 2017) 7.0 it will state its going to turn it on, but only turns off the wifi, never actually turns on my Hotspot.

It works perfectly. Samsung S7 v7.0. I use it to start my mobile hotspot when my phone connects to my car Bluetooth and it also opens Tunein so I can play digital radio through my Chromecast audio which is connected to the cars aux port.

When will this be updated to the same version as the free one? The free one works with my Note 8, this does not. No notification, no wifi tether enabled.

This worked great on my Galaxy S7 but stopped working when I upgraded to the S8. Emailed developer with no response.

The 99 cents app does not allow me to choose which Bluetooth devices turns on the hotspot. I paid extra for this service and it works the same as the free app. Update: Developer helped me very quickly and it turned out that I needed to uninstall the free version. I'm giving it 4 stars and will update my rating after I use it a while. Thank you Thomas for all your help.

Did not work with S6. I emailed the developer, but did not receive a response. Waste of money.

It works sporadically on my Nexus 6P - sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Prinzipiell eine super App, aber seit dem mein S7 auf Android 7 läuft, muss ich jedes mal vorher in der App das automatische Einschalten aus- und wieder einschalten. Ansonsten werden nur die markierten Apps gestartet, der Hotspot bleibt deaktiviert.

My car handsfree system uses BT for coms, but the inbuilt gps needs a wifi hotspot for traffic and weather updates. Thanks to this app, the phone automatically activates the hotspot as soon as I get in BT range, and turns it off when I leave. This is exactly what I needed! Great ! -2 stars because doesn't always work.

It was working perfectly on my Sony Xperia X Compact but suddenly stopped after an update. I've now managed to get it working perfectly again by reverting to an earlier version from a backup. A great app when it works. Android 7.0

Installed the latest version (1.7), but it never activates hotspot - even though Bluetooth works fine.

Works now perfectly with Android 6!

Doesnt work on my note 5, says hotspot started when the phone connects to bluetooth but it doesn't actually turn on the hotspot. Fix or refund my money!

Purchased the app and it worked beautifully, a week later my Turbo was updated to 5.1 and it no longer turns on the wifi hotspot on connection of any bluetooth device and does not turn the regular wifi back on when disconnected. Hoping for an update soon.

Doesn't work with Lollipop on Samsung GS5.
