About Farabrew Keyboard

Farabrew Keyboard is a Softkeyboard for tablet and phone touchscreens. It can switch between several different language keyboards keyboards at runtime. It includes an Hebrew keyboard, which is not available on most devices.

The keyboard is mainly designed for use with the Farabrew dictionary and vocabulary trainer but can also get used as a general replacement for the built-in softkeyboard. When used with Farabrew, the keyboard layout will automatically switch between layouts according to the input language required.

A short press on the "keyboard mode" button will toggle between different keyboard layouts. A long press will open the settings dialog where two different languages can be selected. A third keyboard for numbers and symbols is always included.

A long press on "keyboard mode" will switch to handwriting (script) input. Handwriting detection is currently supported for Hebrew only. Go to the settings dialogue to enable handwriting detection for Hebrew as a second language and it will automatically be selected whenever Hebrew input is requested in Farabrew!

Currently supported keyboard layouts: English, German, French, Hebrew and Russian.

Press and hold the quote key and up pops a window with the nekudot. Press and hold a letter to type it with dagesh. Easy! Would like a way to switch to another input method directly from the keyboard. It would also be nice to have cantillation marks supported, but that's a lot more complex.
