About Remote for Steam
The Remote for Steam app turns your pc into a home video game console. Take your gamepad and make yourself comfortable on the couch, while the app starts your pc. As soon as the pc is running the Big Picture mode gets started and you are ready to start!
If you already purchased the previous app, contact me using info(at)stryder-it.de and we get that fixed!
For communication a small application is required on your pc.

A Windows 7/8/8.1/10 PC is required
This app adresses all of you who want to use their pc for playing on the TV-screen from time to time and don't want to start the pc and the Steam Big Picture mode by hand.
The app is free. For a small amount of money you can purchase the premium features, remove the ads and support my development!

Permissions:
The app needs some permissions to make everything as simple as possible. This is a short summary why the permissions are required.
INTERNET: For network communication with your pc
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Check if the network is connected
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Check if WiFi is activated on your device
CHANGE_WIFI_STATE: If WiFi is turned off you can enable it directly from the app after a dialog is confirmed
BILLING: For the In App purchase to remove the ads

Half great! Starts big picture mode remotely which is great but hows about a setting to unlock a pc too? I don't like to leave my pc unlocked when away from it so I'd still have to be there unlock it, rendering this app pointless. I don't want it to be pointless, it has real potential!

It's amazing how the dev has made an app that does exactly what I want it to. Thisis brilliant combined with a Steam Link. It works better than Steam Link's built-in WoL functions. Just absolutely brilliant. Premium purchased.

I downloaded this app for the sole purpose of activating Big Picture Mode via my phone. At first the app didn't work because I checked "Start Big Picture Mode only manually." You would think that checking that disables the app from automatically launching Steam in Big Picture Mode, but in fact, it disables the apps ability to launch Big Picture Mode. (You need a new translation, author) So, when setting up your computer, do make sure that that specific check-box is NOT checked. Besides that small hiccup, the app does everything that I want it to do.
