I've been using Morty for years, and only problem I've seen is once in a while my old HTC One X+ will present a second icon in my Android v 4.1 status bar. My phone isn't being updated by HTC anymore. Thanks for your quality work, and generousity Mirko!

Mortplayer Audiobook Player is THE BEST congrats. You may think that nicer looking, or simpler to configure app are better but you will be back to Mortplayer. Only then you will know why it is the best. Because it is specifically designed for audiobooks. MortPlayer Music is not too bad either. Which is quite outstanding for a 100% no ads app. It doesn't have the nice look of commercial players. But functionally is comparable, sometime even better. For example, MortPlayer Music can play midi files and has a better navigation than GoneMad Player which costs $4. This is such a pleasure to donate to the author. Keep up with the good work.

I've been using MortPlayer for audio books to listen to books and podcasts for the past several months and I can't continue to use it without guilt if I don't donate. This is by far my favorite app for listening to long form audio and have always compensated those authors who try freemium and similar models for their continued efforts. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! After a long search, this is the app I've been looking for! 1. Please keep updating the apps, so that they work with future versions of Android. This app was last updated in 2012 and will not work in future versions of Android if not updated. 2. I have lectures in audio and video files, and I can't play video files. Please add an option to play video files as well, so that I can play all audio and video files from the same playlist.

I think its great that u make your apps free and fully functional and donation is a choice. I love the fact that I can leave a bookmark of where I am in the audio book and that most of the time that's not even necessary since it goes back to where u left off listening.

There is no better. Thank you so much for allowing users to try at their leisure. After about 4 months, I realized I can't do without!!! Thanks!!!!

Many thanks! The music player stops and forced closed shortly after I start a sing and turn off the screen. Galaxy Note II

This is one of the most versatile apps for listening to MP3 audiobooks. If I have transferred a CD audiobook to my phone as MP3 this is the only app I use. The only thing I wish it did was have speed setting, which I use when using the library app or audible. Thanks for the great app.

This app gives you all the features of some of the well known apps. Although the interface takes some time getting used to. Overall an excellent app. I appreciate the developer for keeping it free.

I wanted my audio player to shuffle by album...Mort had it (Why is this not standard issue?). I wanted my audio player to always remember my podcast playback positions...Mort had it. I wanted my audio player to be lightweight...Mort appears to fit the bill. The fact that this app was free with no ads really hit home as well. Thank you very much for releasing these apps to the wild Mirko!

I have listened to hundreds of hours of podcasts and books with MortPlayer audio books. It's perfect for me and I appreciate the quality and design philosophy. (It's a different app, this is the donation review)

This is my 2nd donation. Your updates/improvements to this excellent app in response to your user's comments and requests are appreciated. (Acer a100 w/ICS) Best of Luck! ps: can u suggest headphones with simple controls that work well with your app?

But this app needs some serious updating to make the UI more friendly. And it's crashing a lot lately

S70%

This app fits my needs perfectly. It remembers just where I paused an audiobook. No more trying to remember track or time.

I´ve listened to hundreds of hours of audiobooks on this app, and it works flawlessly. I think this it the first time I´ve ever paid for anything on Google Play, and it just goes to show how wonderfully executed this app is.

folder navigation lacks consistency and ergonomy. Directory sorting is bugged. this could easily be the best player for those allergic to tags.

I love to donate. I just hate the size of file. Near 100kb is too big. Milestone

I used this app 6+ hrs a day when working, absolutely awesome. I love my HTC one x but android really suck, this app make it bearable for me, can't wait for windows phone 8, please for the love of awesomeness make a an app for windows phone 8 since it support microSD storage. Windows Phone 7 audiobook support is non existence right now, I'm willing to donate to start the project. Please!!!

I just donated. This is exactly what I need: automatically index those audio files based on folders and the ability to re-play at exact the same spot where I last left off. Save me ton of time to create playlists. Wish you have a desktop PC version!

Pauses on headset removal, remembers position of multiple audio books. These are the most important things in my opinion in an audio book player. Use it every day and never had a problem with it.

Man, your app is way far more awesome than those pricey ones..your app reads all files, all types. Just excellent

I originally got this app as it was one of the few to work with a Mic/remote control. The remote has long since died. 2 phones later, mort still going

I absolutely love the fact that you allow users to disable ads even in the free version, and for that alone, I decided to donate, though I have used the app only a couple of times. Keep up the good work.

It's a very brave way to distribute apps and earn money for your hard work. I really hope it pays off.

I have tried oh-so-many ways to listen to audiobooks but either they demanded cash for full feature access, just plainly confused me with their interface or relied on perfect metadata . This one is free, simple yet powerful and above all it is folder based. I absolutely recommend this and all other app's of this author.

Just for having the option to disable the ads at no cost got me to pay.

After evaluating Poweramp in search for the one thing I missed in MortPlayer Music, I found what I was looking for in MortPlayer Audio Books. This is one developer who knows to nail exactly what is needed by an application aiming at doing something - and then, giving it all for free, even suggesting alternative methods to overcome a limitation "if that's all you've come here to pay for". We need people like him around. Support his efforts.

Great apps, user friendly, resource lite. The author is an amazing app developer.

Your apps help me manage my audio files instead of trying to do it for me. Thank you. Also, thanks for really letting me actually use them before I donate. If I could get a refund for all the lame apps I had to buy before really getting to live with them, I would give it to you instead.
