About USB Audio Field Recorder ROOT

IMPORTANT! Please test your sound card(s) on your device with the free "USB Audio Recorder" app before purchasing this app! Only some sound cards will work (flawlessly), and not necessarily on all devices, so make sure you have tested everything thoroughly!

This is a simple app to record audio from an external sound card, storing it on the android file system.

Your device needs to be rooted for this application to work.

The recording will be stored as .wav files, per default on the external storage in a folder called "recordings". A new .wav file will be created when the current file reaches 100 MB or any other limit specified.

For a detailed description of the controls, please check out the "USB Audio Tester" app on the market.

This app worked for my rooted EVO 3D ICS. Steps to take: First, make sure you are able to use any common USB device, like a mouse, keyboard, or a flash drive. If so, you are probably very close to your goal. I had to install an OTG-enabled kernel, make sure init.d folder scripts were enabled, and use a special OTG cable (b/c my phone wasn't designed to supply power to external USB devices). The developer answered my email too.
