About all 4 hue
'all 4 hue' is the most sophisticated app for Philips Hue. This very complete app provides much more features and stability than all competing apps. It is the best rated Philips Hue app. “all 4 hue“ is the only app which allows the full control of up to 5 Hue Bridges.
This app is available as free version without advertisements but with some limitations. The free version can be used for unlimited duration. It is suggested to use the free version to check if the app fits to the users needs. In case of further interest additional features can be activated via in-app purchase to enjoy the complete feature set of the app. The app is available in German and English language. The app is continously improved - since May 2015 more than 70 updates with new features (without any extra charge!) were released.
Overview (some features):
- Configure all your lights and search for new lights
- Create, edit, delete and activate scenes. Scenes are stored in your Hue Bridge and can be accessed from all your devices. Scenes can also be activated with NFC tags.
- Work with actions and place then on your home screen (turn lights on/off, change brightness, color, scene, etc.).
- Create, edit and delete timers and alarms with a lot of different actions.
- Create, edit and delete rules with a lot of different conditions and actions. Use rules to program Hue Tap, Dimmer, Presence Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Temperature Sensor.
- Use the integrated rule wizard to create complex rule constructions really quick, e.g. switch from one scene to the next one when you press a Hue Tap button multiple times, etc.
- Manage your Philips Hue sensors: Hue Tap, Dimmer, Presence Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Temperature Sensor supported. Generic Status Sensors are also supported.
- React on device events (e.g. flash lights on incoming sms or call).
- Enjoy special effects (disco, bonfire, colorloop).
- Call functions of this app from external other apps (e.g. Tasker).
- Access up to 5 Hue Bridges with this app. NEW FEATURE!
Requirements:
- This app requires a Philips Hue Bridge (V1 or V2).
- This app supports Hue Tap, Hue Dimmer, Hue Presence Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Temperature Sensor.
- This app requires some permissions in order to detect incoming calls and sms (for device events). Details about the permissions can be found in the FAQ section in the app.
Limitations:
- This app can only be used within the local network, because Philips does not allow third party apps to connect to the Hue Bridge from the internet. This is NOT A BUG in this app but policy from Philips.

Tried several apps- like this one the best and registered. I stay pretty busy and was able to get what I wanted (colorloop) set up rather quickly. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 is more my issue than the apps because I just haven't invested time to figure it all out.

This App is not as user friendly as other Apps I have used but I gave it 5 stars because of it's functionality. This App enables you to program lights, sensors and any other Hue products to do most anything you may need it to do. An example is, I have my motion sensor monitoring our side door in the garage and when the door opens it causes specific lights in rooms throughout our house to flash. Now our kids can't sneek up on the wife and I any more.

Nice app. With time you Vann do a LOT with your hue setup! Best I can tell however I have to purchase this for each device I want it installed on and setup each device [phone and tablet] independently. I need to spend sometime looking into how to copy alarms, timers, and other config options from one device to another. If its possible.

If you like tinkering and making things "just so" this app is a must. It does everything the hue app does and allows you to customise bulbs and switches to a higher degree. For example, long press wall switch to carry out a separate operation. Great app

I'm new to the Hue world, and was told this is the best app. But for a novice it's hard to understand compared to the Hue app. Wish there was more online help or some kind of detailed manual instead of the brief descriptions in the various categories for us not to techie type. But I can imagine if you know this app inside out it's the best one.
