Die App Isargeschichte(n) zeigt die Isar vom Ursprung in den Alpen bis nach München als fotorealistische 3D-Karte. Es werden wichtige historische Plätze vorgestellt und in der realen Landschaft angezeigt. Kurze Videos, Bilder und Karten erzählen aus längst vergangenen Zeiten. Sorgfältig ausgewählte Wanderungen und Radtouren mit eingezeichnetem Wegverlauf entlang der Isar laden zum Entdecken ein.
Durch die 3D-Darstellung auf Basis von hochaufgelösten Luftbildern werden selbst kleinste Details der Landschaft sichtbar. Unterwegs erleichtert die wirklichkeitsgetreue 3D-Darstellung der Landschaft zusammen mit der GPS-Funktion die Orientierung. Die aktuelle Position wird per GPS in der 3D-Karte angezeigt und zu jedem Zeitpunkt ist klar, wo man sich gerade befindet und wie der Weg weitergeht.
