Clementine Remote

Useful EVEN for my Quirky Linux box, which is pretty rare in this proprio-owned-OS based society. Just for working with Quirky Linux I love it. I've not given it a full test but volume, playlist and library are good. My screen is off & I can control my musid & audiobooks. Happy me..

Sometimes is a mess, and sometimes works flawlessly. But now is telling me what I need the 1.3 v on my system and I already have the latest version available. So I'm pretty angry now.

It's just a remote so it doesn't do that much, but what it does it does well. Especially downloading your music effortlessly is a great bonus (EDIT: doesn't work on my new phone though). Now if only Clementine itself was available to play said music...

I recently tried to download over songs from my music library from my PC to my phone using this app. The copy process was very unreliable. Many songs did not copy and there was no alert or error. Several times the app crashed when pushed to the background so I had to keep the app awake while copying but even then many songs did not copy. Can the dev team fix this?

I love this app as well as Clementine Media Player. This app uses Wi-Fi for connecting remote to player, is there a way to connect using bluetooth?

Works as it should, only issue is it forgets downloaded songs, even the files exists, please fix.

Nice. But please add offline mode where you can listen when app on pc not started (full sync with app when online mode: delete tracks which I deleted from pc and download which I download). Please add it, or make another one android app for this.

Really loved this app. One of the most useful apps for me.

This remote does only one thing, and does it exceptionally well. I hope zeroconf address support could be added in the future.

Make sure you add a firewall exception!

Simply does not connect with my comp.thats why i have to discard it.

This is a brilliant app to control clementine. All it needs is a few tweaks and additional options: playlist mangement is unintuitive and buggy. A sleep timer and stop after current song would be quite welcome. EDIT: longpressing pauze achieves toggling stop after current track.

Loved this app! Simple, stable and fast. But, the only thing I think this app needs to be perfect is it's being able to stream songs that are on android. Would love to see that feature! Keep up the good work!

When I open the App, and give the IP, it says you must use version 1.2.1 while the latest version available on the website is only 1.2. Does not work !

Love the app, stable, smooth, simple. On the most recent version, which looks fantastic btw, I can't figure out how to update the music library to be synced with the computer application. It used to be simple. Any tips? (edit: Figured it out. Does it make sense to bring update button back to make it more intuitive?)

Hats off to the developer, deserves more than 5 star. I have my old music system connected to my Ubuntu laptop, which don't have remote. This works like a remote, once I switch on my laptop. Only problem is, it can't start Clementine on PC if it's not running. So I made the Clementine to run on startup, now mobile is the remote to Clementine.

Lack of support for older versions of Clementine has made this completely useless to me. Really sad it was one of my favorite apps. And of course given the ecosystem there is no official way to downgrade the app.

I have installed clementine version 1.3.1 on my laptop and then installed this remote on my samsung core2.....i enabled network remote control also....then i tried all the 3 ip addresses it was showing me on the first screen in phone...but it is still not connecting...pls suggest what to do

This is by far the best app I've ever encountered. 1 hour ago I thought I love Winamp, but there's got to be something better out there. Searched Google...found Clementine...saw the word remote...sounded a bit too good to be true...installed the program on my desktop...tinkered with it a bit...playlists and all that...got the app...1 min config...ended up with a remote controller for my music...in awe. Thanks for the app. :)

Used to be 5 stars, but this app is now completely useless because the developers have removed the support for versions of clementine older than 1.3. So for anything such as a QNAP where the apps are controlled by a central repository, this client is now unusable, and the older one is no longer available. If the Devs are reading this, please re-release the old app as a legacy support app to allow us to control instances where we don't have control over what version is supported.
