Die Swings-App steigert die Finanzmarktkompetenz ihrer Nutzer und erhöht damit ihr Selbstvertrauen beim Erarbeiten und Durchhalten von Handelsstrategien.

Die Swings-App trifft statistische Aussagen über den Verlauf von Börsenkursen. Das Fundament bilden die Methoden des Swing-Tradings mit der Grundannahme, dass sich Kurse in relativ kurzen zusammenhängenden Bewegungen verändern, den sog. Swings. Die Datenbasis bilden Zeitreihen der Kursarten Open, Close, High, Low auf Tagesbasis.

In einem ersten Schritt werden in den historischen Kurszeitreihen der zu betrachtenden Basiswerte Swings identifiziert und die auf jeden Swing folgenden Kursbewegungen ausgewertet. Befindet sich nun ein Basiswert zum Auswertungsstichtag in einem Swing, werden folgende Aussagen abgeleitet:
- Wahrscheinlichkeit für die Fortsetzung des Swings
- mittlere Kursänderung bis zum Swing-Ende bei Fortsetzung
- Wahrscheinlichkeit für das Ende des Swings
- mittlerer Verlust bei Swing-Ende

The Swings App meets statistical statements about the course of stock market prices. The foundations are the methods of swing trading with the basic assumption that change in relatively short courses related movements, the so-called swing. The data base form time series of the price types Open, Close, High, Low, on a daily basis.

In a first step of considered underlying Swings are identified and evaluated on every swing following price movements in the historical price time series. Is now a base value for the evaluation date in a swing, the following statements can be derived:
- Probability of the continuation of the Swings
- Mean change of course to swing at the end of continuation
- Probability for the end of the swing
- Mean loss at the end of swing
- Expected value from the combination of the two scenarios
