WOOP app for Android
User interface is very poor and often force close.
It never opens. It crashes
Wont open at all..
I heard about WOOP on NPR's Hidden Brain. It's an elegantly simple, and therefore potentially very powerful, approach. This app could do so much more in terms of enabling users to apply the approach. As it is, a simple template in, eg, Google Keep or a nested activity in Tasks would be far more helpful.
psyched to do some, but app really was not working. Note 4 android 5.1.1. Please add text version of questions so I can copy and paste and work with elsewhere. Leave in book title and author and link to buy.
Love the concept! ❤ Love WOOP! I've been able to accomplish so much more with the WOOP system after hearing about it on NPR. But, the app is still a work in progress and a bit buggy. It has lots of promise! Keep up the good work; Rome was not built in a day!
Doesn't respond
So glad this is available for android. I'm trying to apply the principles in the book and this app really helps! It's free, guys- don't bash it!The only thing maybe it needs is a reflection field to fill in afterwards.
Pretty efficient and effective app
It would be helpful if you could choose to set alerts either daily or weekly to check in with WOOP and your progress to your goal.
Really want this to work. It doesn't. At least not quickly or smoothly. It freezes frequently.
Couldn't get it to work even once.
The new version is so much better!
App freezes. App navigation is broken. Concept is useful but app flaws make it unusable. You've given up on the app. That's disappointing. Would love to see it fixed and improved.
I listened to an interview with Gabriele Oettingen on The Psychology Podcast with Dr. Scott Barry Kaufman and came away very impressed with the science behind this app. Unfortunately, the interface needs a lot of work. Hopefully the developers are reading these reviews and are working to make the experience better. ;-)
Read the book and love the concept but the app is really buggy and hangs up frequently. Hope it gets fixed. Would love to use it!
Doesn't work on my HTC1XL. The loading 'wheel' goddess around and around without ever stopping.
Won't load, Just get the spinning wheel that never stops spinning!
Good idea, bad app. Please get it fixed, so we can promote it to others.
This app would be great if it worked. I can't get past the second screen. This is a simple app please build one that works. Woop is awesome. Your programmer not so much.
I could use this app only once. Now every time I open it it just tells me it is "loading" but never finishes. This makes it impossible to use the app. So despite there being a scientific background to how this app is supposed to work it is totally useless. Please fix this.
This app feels like it wasn't written for my Android device. It's rather frustrating to work with. A pity as the woop concept is really quite interesting.
Back button doesn't seem to work at all. Navigate around options have to force close and reopen. Not good!
Love the layout and idea but it doesn't work properly. Not all the links work as they should, and can't create one single woop after training. Unusably buggy. When fixed will change to 5 stars.

I like the app when I first got it but all of a sudden it just won't load for me. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it and that didn't help. The app will open but will take me to the intro page and just stay there while it "loads" -. It's really frustrating anyone else experiencing this ?
works well in my andriod phone(xiaomi 4)
Pretty efficient and effective app
Amazing app, does not go back using the back button in Huawei p7 using andriod
Disappointed as it looks like a great tool. Can't navigate on my Samsung. Also no instructions on how to use it.
The concept of the actual app is great but it's filled with bugs that it becomes unusable. Just hangs in the "loading" position for eternity. Pity.
Freezes
I've had similar problems to others, with the app 'loading' into eternity. What little I did get to see of the app, it was far too simplistic. You can write one outcome for a wish, one obstacle to the outcome and one action to overcome the obstacle. To visualise a wish, there are several outcomes, multiple obstacles and a range of actions you can take - but I couldn't see any way to build that. Uninstalled.
It's rude by failing to utilize steps required in planning. It's rude by demanding a sign up... Which I don't always consider to be rude but in this case... Because the app is so flimsy and crashes and ignores input, rude. And then after I didn't use it, it demanded ... Absolutely demanded ... No getting around it ... It demanded to know why I wasn't using it. When I chose "other" and wrote a blurb (much nicer than this one) about the apps shortcomings, it refused to accept the info... So RUDE CRASHING app!
Might be a good app, if it started.
Never got it to open. Not one single time.
Please pay someone to program your brilliant idea.
Nice
This app in the book parallels my experience working with people to achieve their personal goals. If you use this app and give it your all ,ie using the WOOP process, you will find yourself actually succeeding in different areas of your life. Don't be fooled by how simple this is. This stuff works. I'm a psychotherapist and I use it. If you doubt its effectiveness, read the book that backs it up called 'Rethinking Positive Thinking'. Serious, serious research backs this stuff up.

Much improved. Works without crashing most of the time. Has several incomplete features.
