About the author: Dr. Lars Frühsorge is one of the most prestigious Maya researchers in Germany. His long-lasting stay with the modern day descendants of the Maya has given him a vast amount of knowledge on both their past and modern lives. In addition to numerous publications he co-designed a Maya exhibition in the museum of ethnology in Hamburg / Germany. Presently he works as a museum educator and as a lecturer at the University of Hamburg.
