About Glimpse Notifications
Using Android 5.0+ lock screen notifications? Tired of having to press the power button to see them? Then this app is for you!
FINGERPRINT SENSORS AND SMARTLOCKS
This app uses the Device Administrator permission.
For some optional features Glimpse Notifications can turn off the screen. This happens with a delay imposed by Android and smartlocks such as fingerprint sensors keep working. Optionally the app can be registered as a device administrator. The screen is then locked immediately and completely.

PERMISSIONS
• BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE: Core permission to have the app being informed about new notifications. This is required.
• WAKE_LOCK: required to turn on the screen
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: to determine the duration of custom notification sounds.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: to implement double-tap to lock and to notice user interactions when a customized lockscreen display time is chosen.
• BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN: for custom lock screen durations or double tap to lock, you can chose to register it as a Device Administrator to fully and immediately lock the screen.
• VIBRATE: recurring notifications can be indicated using a vibration pattern

This app saved my S8+ since I need the screen wakeup to see notifications from Gmail and WhatsApp when they come, which the factory settings doesn't allow. BTW, shame on you Samsung and your terrible OS design decisions.

With latest update seems the issue with edge lighting on app notification on my s8+ being addressed. Hope future updates being as bug free it can just like current version.

Great app. Use it on my S8 and my wife's S8. The only issue is that it keeps my wife's S8 screen on as of late. Any ideas dev? Otherwise, it is great.

I have used this app for a long time on my phone, and i love it. Now, I recently got a 2nd phone and wanted glimpse on that device too, but when I tried to download it onto said phone, I was told that glimpse is not compatible with this device!, both phones are Samsung, so i'm very dissappointed with this!...

The app is great! Just a quick suggestion: How about keeping both motion detection and screen turn on working at the same time? I still want to have my screen to light up as the notification arrives and I also want to be able to have a glance of my notifications on device-move. Keep up the good work. :)

Works well when made system administrator, but system forces me to enter pin instead of fingerprint for some reason when it is enabled. This was too annoying so I uninstalled.

Perfect app. Does the job and does it well. I had a different app for the longest time but I was SOOO fed up with the screen randomly popping on for no reason. Went to the store and found this one. No random turn on's, just perfect notifications. Still stunned this isn't a standard option but luckily awesome people exist that can make apps for us! Love this app!
