CaptchaSolver for Android

Former called AndroidCaptcha. Because of new Google Play policies, I had to change the name.

With this App Captchas from JDownloader can be solved on your Android-Smartphone. Your downloads can make now progress even if you are not in front of your PC.

A plugin for JDownloader is required. You can get it here http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=44074. There you’ll also get the documentation for this App, as well as installation instructions for the Plugin. When you have problems, please post there.

Keyfeature of this App in contrast to others is that it opens a direct connection between JDownloader and the App. First this is privacy friendly and second you are independent of other Servers in the Internet and their functioning.

Additional features:
-You solve only own Captchas. With Captcha exchange services you often pay 10 Credits for one solved Captcha, but get only 7 Credits per solved Captcha. Sometimes you even lose credits for Captchas solved wrongly.

Privacy
Because there is a direct connection between your PC and the App, there are no records kept about the data exchanged.

About the used rights on Android

Prevent phone from sleeping: This privilege is needed to turn the screen on when there is a new Captcha. It would be possible to do it without the wakelock and use “WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_TURN_SCREEN_ON” instead. Google even recommends this approach. But that has the main disadvantage that on the timeout the LockScreen would be shown a few seconds before the screen goes off. With the wakelock method, the screen goes of immediately. Only when you tap “Close” the lockscreen is shortly shown with both methods. In addition the wakelock is needed for the Keep-Alive function.

Full network access: Without this privilege you can’t exchange Captchas with the Server

Control vibration: The App should be able to vibrate on new Captcha

View network connections: Is only used to monitor network status changes, e.g. between mobile network and Wifi or to reconnect after signal had been lost.

Run at startup: Needed to start App automatically after boot
