I found that after you connect by WiFi direct you have to put in ip of the fpv monitor in both phones. Then click connect to vehicle on the device that will be the camera. Then click connect to control centre on the the one that will be the monitor. Then wait a bit then it should connect without crashing. I found that if you set it up wrong it will crash. But still sometimes it crashes.

Does NOT work

I did manage to get it to work between my Galaxy S3 and Nexus 5. I connected the two phones using WIFI Direct, then I put each phone's IP in the other SimpleFPV app, then I made the Galaxy the "Vehicle" device, and the Nexus the "Control Center" device. After a few seconds I did have side-by-side video coming into the Nexus, but it crashes after about 2-3 seconds. Never would run any longer than that.

It shows a "stereo" image... bt it's actually built from ONE single image? Could you add support for images coming from TWO phones to get real 3d stereo view? Then... if you could list which drones we need to bring up a couple of phones, your job would be complete! (but I guess we'd need quite a big quadcopter, phones are heavy).
