Rain Alarm Pro for Android
Thar she blows!!! Man this app tell me how far and how wide the storms are!!! Has been updated to let me pick my own sounds. And talks too!!! I'm loving it! 5 stars! ????????
Umbrella widget is not showing as an option
Thanks for Family Support! 1A App!
A superb app with pure genius design. Rain Alarm Pro gives me notification when rain is on the way and I can choose any sound on my 'phone or tablet if I want an audible alarm. Since it runs a visual sequence of the rain progression on my screen, I can estimate the time of the rain's arrival and not only that, I can see very easily if the clouds are growing in size or evaporating. Brilliant, just brilliant. Astonishing support from the developer too!
This app has been working fine after some problems with it a while back but today it hasn't updated the radar image for more than four hours despite the timeline at the bottom of the screen doing so. This is happening with my home wifi, on 4G and on the WiFi at work. Uninstalling and reinstalling it hasn't made any difference. This app remains stubbornly at a three star rating, I'm afraid.
I owe so much to this app for staying dry. Well worth the cost! Of all the apps I have, this is the one that has stayed on my device for a long time. P. S. I have not had any notice of battery consumption using this app.
Brilliant little app, a must have for cyclists. I never leave home without first checking this app. It's saved me a soaking on many occasions. You often see windows of opportunity to avoid heavy showers, very handy. I don't often purchase apps but this is worth paying for the Pro non-advert version.
Been using this app for a while now, never had any issues with it, it's accurate, always know whether or not to take my umbrella out with me or not, but recently it's not been showing any precipitation, my map is covered in a shaded area,as if the map hasn't updated or loaded
My go to rain radar for the Sunshine Coast Qld, and Australia. A must have!!
Love this works a charm, however UK data missing right now?
NO UK updates for a few days now. ?
Works fine on this Note 4.
Great weather apps!!!
Excellent
I love the app..... When it works... Keeps crashing on the Note 4. Last two months I get a few crashes a day. No response from app developer. Getting annoying.
No maps displayed. Just dot of colors. Help!
Very great application, accurate and complete. I would like if had more than 13 number of images
Would be nice if this app was able to tell the difference between rain and snow. Years and it still doesn't.
Love this app.
Used to be a good app, which is why I paid for the pro version. But recently just about every useful customisation has been removed. Now you can basically turn off all the alarms or get alerted about everything in a 15 mile radius or more. Pointless.
I love it! Made my work with ease. Just want to suggest that to add an option for adding labels on widgets. Sometimes I use multiple widgets and I get confuse on with widgets it is. Thanks for the great development of this app.
Good. Just wish it showed wind direction so I could predict if the rain would reach or bypass my location. A non-circular seek area orientated to the wind direction would also improve this app
I have been using this for a couple of years now and I have got friends using it. I have come to rely on this for its accuracy and it's helped me out loads. What ever weather apps I have on my phone this one stays. Simple and does what it says .
Brilliant, I trust this app more than the weather channel !!
This app is fantastic but i have friends on Facebook after posting some screen shots on my wall asking if the developer has done a version for Apple devices on the Apple store. I have googled rain alarm for Apple and have found out that the rain alarm app by Michael Diener software e.K is currently not available on Apple devices. So are Michael Diener software e.K going to do a version for Apple device users. Only i have friends who want to buy or try your app on their Apple devices let us know if you decide to do an Apple version of your rain alarm app. Although i have joked that they could always trade in their Apple device for an Android device.????
Many thanks for the latest little update which restored the ability to set close ( 20km or less) alarms as we could in v4. The point about wanting to be able to set the alarm radius less then 15km is because I live to the north of a ridge of hills and the prevailing SW winds often mean the rain stays on the southern side of the hills and does not effect us. THANKS for listening and acting on your feedback reviews. SO good to have such a responsive developer! (Earlier) Wonderful - just what I need on my phone, an alarm for rain. The beauty of rain alarm has always been the immediate and local nature of the information - something normal weather forecast apps are not so good at.
I've been using this app for around 5 years now. It has never once let me down, ever. It's one of the first apps I download when I have a new device or need to do a factory reset. When opening my tablet it's on my homepage where I can always give it a quick glance especially when rain has been forecast and I've got washing on the line. The settings are very customisable and the alarm is a great help. Also the developer is always quick to answer any email requesting help. I'd give this gem 100 stars if I could.
It works so I love it
Have updated to new upgrade but audible alerts have stopped - sound and voice. It has now become a 'check and see' app. Is there a way to correct this on a Samsung Galaxy S6?
The developer replied very quickly and fixed my issue thank you! I couldn't find the advanced settings until now. Excellent app and dev.
This is not a forecaster but an alarm that actually works. Get the paid app because it's worth it! This app hasn't failed me yet. ... It really works!????????
the rain radar data might be accurate but do not fit to the map or time or both. there is heavy rain while the app shows nothing at all. the app shows rain where / when it's gone for half an hour..
Was better, now the alert area is too big and I keep getting alerts for storms that never come close
Great app, especially good in the UK. Wish it could cover France and more of the Mediterranean.
Reply 8/3/17: still haven't had any precip so impossible to test against actual rain and radar hasn't shown any false echoes the last few days so alarm hasn't gone off. My point is that the same radar images are being accessed by this new version as the previous version but now I'm getting inaccurate alarms or no alarms when there has been precip in the area. The search radius seems way too big even though I've set it to the minimum. This creates alarms for precip that don't even come close to my location. The sensitivity also seems off since v5 as occasionally no alarm will sound and precip had already begun. Like I said, I have been using this app for years so I'm pretty familiar with it's operation and this new version just doesn't work as good as the previous version for me. (end reply). Since update to v5, I more than occasionally get alarms when there is no rain and none or inaccurate alerts when there is. Yes, the radar image will show a false echo for 1 frame - no precip here in the Seattle area for over a month - but this darn thing goes crazy for it. I've tried the default settings, my own trusted settings I have used for years (at least the ones I can correlate to the new settings) and wacky settings just to test with no appreciable differences. I basically just use it for the radar now as the intended functionality has been severely compromised and is no longer useful to me. Was my most used app by far. I wish I didn't upgrade.
This app works great! Helps me out a ton when out on the motorcycle. Definitely recommended.
Wonderful new app, thank you
Very Usefull *****
I'm a biker and got this app for the alerts, but it's turned into my daily go-to weather app. Active dev.

The Dutch and Belgian radar data is completely blank. I'm in the eastern UK, and so I get very poor use of this app when the weather is coming from the east, with no Dutch /Belgian data!
