Sie umfasst einen Bestimmungsschlüssel mit der zusätzlichen Möglichkeit gezielt nach Anwendungsbereichen, Inhaltsstoffen, Familien etc. zu sortieren – sowie ein Feldbuch, um die eigenen Beobachtungen zu protokollieren. Grundlage ist das Buch „Wildpflanzen zum Genießen... ...für Gesundheit, Küche, Kosmetik und Kreativität“. Es lädt ein, die heimische Natur neu zu entdecken. Viele Pflanzen lassen sich in kulinarische Delikatessen verwandeln, als Heilpflanzen verwenden, liefern Farbstoffe, Aroma für Liköre und Süßspeisen und eignen sich für Naturkosmetik. In dieser App findest du ca. 200 wildwachsende Pflanzen mit ihren Erkennungsmerkmalen, die unser Leben in der ein oder anderen Weise bereichern. Die Rezepte sind bewusst einfach gehalten, erprobt, authentisch so zubereitet, fotografiert und verspeist worden. In Hintergrundinformationen erfährst du allerlei zu vielen Themen rund um die Pflanzenwelt wie beispielsweise Bachblüten, Pflanzen der Sinnlichkeit, einige leicht zu erkennende Pflanzenfamilien und die verschiedenen Lebensräume. Man könnte es auch als „Grundkurs für das Kräutersammeln“ bezeichnen. Die verschiedenen Eingabefunktionen erleichtern das Auswählen von Merkmalen, Familienzugehörigkeiten, welche Pflanze wofür verwendet werden kann und ihre Heilwirkung. Außerdem werden alle wichtigen Giftpflanzen (70 Stück) der heimischen Flora ebenso vorgestellt, mit denen die essbaren Arten evtl. verwechselt werden könnten.
