Squeeze Controller

@Lars pls post video how this works; is server my computer I must turn on?Not sure what this app is suppose to do but was looking for replacement for now defunct Logitech Squeezebox Controller. However this app keeps saying cannot connect to media server and if you go into settings, it'll ask for IP whatever that means.

I have the paid version. The app works, and it also has some nice features and looks promising. However, I miss some basics: album browser without selecting the artist first, basic controls when playing (only pause, next available), the album cover display should be the default view when playing (it is only accessible via a deep menu), access from playing song to the current album does not work (should be easy to see the current song in the context of the album or playlist). So I am looking forward for the next updates.

Trial version works great. Will run it for a few more days and if no problems will then upgrade to full version which is very reasonably priced.

Doesn't have user/password option req by my server. EDIT: It keeps cycling between the server address and the next screen (unfortunately I uninstalled the app and can't give more details).

It cycles through the trying to connect to local Logitech server screens, finds my server and then does it all again. Never reached the point where it can control the system.

It worked for me. The first one to do so after having tried several.

Is working as expected and looks great. I just miss the Third Party Modul integration, like Soundcloud Songs and hopefully Android Wear will be added as well.

After the developer replied I reinstalled. I currently have 6 radios. 3 of the small pre-eu model and 2 booms. This app does not see the booms and one of the small radio's name is shown in hex characters. I did turn off Local cache and was able to play a song. There is about a 3 to 5 second lag from when pushing play. The app I use on my iPad, which is iOS only has zero lag and shows all my radios. I changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars because the developer is responsive. But this app is not for me

Are there instructions? Can't get Spotify to work. It just adds to playlist but does not seem to let you play the track

Great app, replaces my old SB remotes.

I couldn't even play one song to evaluate the software before it asked me to upgrade.

A good replacement for the discontinued official app. Could use some polishing up but very functional and that's what matters.

I do like the feel of this app, but it does not seem to support some important features of the Squeezebox system, such as internet radio or Spotify. This makes it unusable for me.

Needs a basic controls widget and support for Squeezebox apps including the Pandora thumbs.

Thanks for adding the long/short button! Good work. Sync is still a bit unhandy. It stops the playback unfortunately:(. What about: 1. multi player view(volume,turn on/off) 2. possibility to remove cover view 3. make sync easier.

The settings had not changed but app guided to setting change but not indicating what needed to be changed! Contacted developer; response was immediate and problem is solved for now. Also, for classical music libraries there is no search for composer, etc. But I hear they are working on it. I recommend this app.

Sure, it's free, but there are far better free alternatives to this. It looks cluttered and unprofessional, and when listing the artists it also lumps in composers and conductors, making the act of browsing artists laborious. Uninstalled.

Now if I could see my "apps" like the streaming services at the top of my music list it would be perfect and a lot quicker to get to!

Doesn't work well on Samsung Note Pro 12 with Lollipop. Angonizing slow to respond. Thought it was just the demo version so I bought the full app and still very, very slow and does not let me select tracks easily.

... and the developer responds to enquiries really fast in a helpful manner. Hope the app will continue to improve. An album view (showing all albums / albums under a particular genre) will be lovely.

Cannot process filter io.javaException bufferreader is closed. Search does not work. Awful. Uninstalled.

A very clean and we laid out app. I particularly like the playlist feature such as 'add to another playlist' and the 'add album to favourites' - these options seem to be missing from other apps! Just a polite request though, can the text be made to scroll on the cover art view, as long titles just sits there with the last portion truncated!. Otherwise a very well thought out offering.

My music is on a NASDUO network storage device. Initially the app kept dropping the link to the server. However, as suggested, disabling the data cache solves this problem. Thank you. Very happy bunny! ☺ Excellent customer service

Great UI and heaps of features. No idea why it's got such a low rating. Immediately found my Logitech Server and worked straight away - zero setup required. Needs a widget to control players before it gets 5 stars...

Lots of app for the money Brings control to all my squeezeboxes

Good replacement for the official squeezebox app that doesn't work on lollipop. Needs a little work on the spotify interface, I mainly use my squeezebox for listening to spotify.

Works great! Very fluid ui (especially compared to the official squeezebox app). Do you think it would be possible to add an option to have albums in stead of artists on the first page? (I'm used to having my music organized like this). Great app though!

This works well except I can't find my play lists. How do you show them?

EDIT: I am bumping my rating up to a 5 due to the excellent support the author provided! I had the forethought to hard wire speakers into all of my rooms as my house was being built. I now use an old Android device a Squeezebox Client connected to my house. Now I can use the Squeeze Controller app to send music throughout my house without the cost of a Sonos! Thank you!

Amazing app and design with one big usability mistake IMHO: 1. In the album view: short click should be add song. Long click options to play. 2. In the playlist also short click should be play now! And long click options.
