Das Gustav-Lübcke-Museum überzeugt mit der größten Ägyptensammlung im Ruhrgebiet. Seine Dauerausstellungsbereiche spannen ausgehend vom Alten Ägypten einen Bogen von der Archäologie über die Stadtgeschichte bis hin zur Angewandten Kunst und der Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die prägnante Architektur mit den hellen Räumen der bekannten Architekten Bo und Wohlert, die auch für das Kunstmuseum Louisiana bei Kopenhagen verantwortlich zeichnen, machen das Gustav-Lübcke-Museum schon äußerlich zu einem Anziehungspunkt. Im Inneren ist das Publikum auf rund 4.000 qm eingeladen zu einem Rundgang durch 13.000 Jahre Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte. Überregional hat sich das Haus mit seinen großen Sonderausstellungen auch weit über Hamm hinaus einen Namen gemacht und zieht Jahr für Jahr mehrere Zehntausend Besucher an.

The Gustav Lübcke Museum confident with the largest collection of Egypt in the Ruhr.
