Voice Pitch Analyzer

My girl friend has a very feminine voice, everyone around us agrees but this app says that she has a more male voice... If my girlfriend's voice is as masculine as this app says then I must sound like a freakin trucker. Other than the actual results, it is easy to use but it's just not as good as I was hoping for.

For those of us doing serious voice work, this is practically revolutionary. As the developers say, it doesn't replace professional sessions but great for day-to-day and building confidence. I think low reviews are from people using this as a toy. It's not much of a toy - it's a great tool.

I like it, but I wish it had an instant mode. Reading is annoying, I just want to press a button and have it analyze my voice. Bonus points if I can see a real time graph showing when i screw up. Also, could you make a passive version that works w/ a bluetooth headset and beeps in your ear when you go out of your desired range :-) that would be AMAZING and very helpful.

I was asked to try this app, I'm constantly told I have an extremely deep voice, I ended up at 84 HZ, even under the normal male range.. Maybe time to lay off the cigarettes This app is great thou for practicing your pitch I realised.

'Honesty'... I'm trans (male to female) and my voice is a constant issue for me. My friends lie and tell me that my voice is OK, but deep down I know that's not true. There is some overlap, but it's mostly in the male range. Thanks for a great app.

You have to read a paragraph of jibberish that uses challenging words making it a little difficult to read. I assume the voice analysis is correct? Interesting for the 2 times you use it.

I like this app, wonderful design. and it's simple to use. But the text in there have some un-common word for the recording tip, which hard to read for me though. Great works.

The stereotypes of m/f/x voice is much more about tone and hardness/softness of speaking, but this is great to train pitch in spoken english. Suggestions: - use visible indicator to clearly show it is recording, at times i miss the button and start speaking whilst it is not recording - maybe let the androgynous range overlap extend visibly into the other ranges. some people do aspire an abdrogynous pitch - add a notice telling the user at startup that how voice is perxeived depends on much more than pitch - allow for texts in other languages

All right. It's weird, I always felt like I sounded like a girl, and this app places my voice range at 91 - 288 Hz. Average at 178 - 236

Really useful app. Overall progress graph is very buggy though :( Would also love to be able to export the data to csv or something. Thanks! Update for new version: super! I love it <3

Very useful app! My only suggestion would be to have an option to have the application save the recordings, so that they could be played back while looking at their pitch over time.

To those saying the app does not pick up their voice, that is a device issue...Not the apps. Need software to increase the mic gain just like a PC. I tested and after an adjustment the app was reading right... Pitch range 210hz - 250hz

Using this app to help me find my female voice. I seen it recommended somewhere. The reading material is so good!

Exteremly english language oriented. The bottom line, sounding mostly female or male is degrading for trans people. Stay away from this obvious cis gender stereo typing app. It only tells you the normative, not who you are.

I have found this an invaluable tool to keep my voice pitch in check. It's easy and quick to use and really easy to understand the results. I just love it! It is a pity the app has been criticised upon things this app doesn't intend to provide. ..namely voice training. But anyway, I am really thankful to the team that made this.

The concept is very nice but the fonds in the overview screen are extremely small, and I mean tiny. I suppose I don't have eagle eyes like the developers do. How hard could it be to change the font size? So I don't bother with that screen and go straight to the Detail screen. I like the information it gives you. I also read something of my own choosing since what they give you is hard to read. Other than that, it is a pretty cool app. Oh, and they need an iPhone version!!! Please make an iPhone iverion!

Just press record and read! You get an overall assessment as well as the median, peak and temporal trend of the fundamental frequency of your voice. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete old tracks but that's fine. I really love it.
