About P4A (Perforce for Android)

P4A (Perforce Visual Client for Android)

P4A connect to a Perforce SCM server and allows you to view user, label and client properties. You can read pending and submitted change lists and walk through depot file directories. For all operations is a valid account to the server necessary (P4A cannot create new users). At the moment P4A read the properties in a read-only basis.

Please note:
The development is not finished yet! With the next releases comes more features and the ability to load and change file content, use SSL connections and use ticket logins.

The screenshots show the content of the public server at Perforce Inc.

Looking forward to future improvements. For me, the key feature is to rapidly browse the depot itself. Expanding and collapsing folders feels clunky now. A good internal text file viewer (monospace font) would be great.

My perforce server runs on 1667. Entered it in the port field, but the app ignores it and tries connecting to 1666. This app is useless to me right now.

R70%
by R####:

Can't complain since it works, and it's free. Plenty of room to grow.

"unicode server blah blah..." error

I wanted this app to deal with p4 requests no matter where I am, but I cannot connect to our server from outside our offices due to the current lack of SSL support.

Unfortunately it won't make a connection to a valid perforce server URL.
