KISI for Android
Wish it got the same UI treatment and support as iOS
Clear and understandable UI. Works *fast*. I slide on the app, and the door lock unlocks immediately, i am using internet locks, not direct BT or direct wifi (afaict). The response time is impressive, as it feels like there is no lag. Only con for me: Doesn't exit cleanly, at least when i use the android-back button it goes from screen but stays active, that might be android anyway.
Works only half the time. The other half, the connected devices list is empty and is inexplicably automatically fixed when my boss sends the invitation again. Unlocking a door is something that needs to be 100% reliable, not 50%.
App killed my NFC The first time I tried setting up the NFC connection this app showed an error. From that point on I no longer have a working NFC in my phone.
When Kisi works, it does it without issue. When it doesnt, you're left out in the cold. Cool idea but until it's more reliable, a fob or key is more dependable.
Much more consistent than the ios app.
I hate having metal keys to my apartment, so this was a super awesome substitute as compared to whipping out my stupid keys every time I need to unlock my door with its lousy keyhole.
When there are multiple locks in your profile, and you get near to one that has bluetooth, the order they are listed on the screen rapidly changes so it is difficult to interact with the one you want. Very awkward. Give me my keycard back.
Tells me I'm 600 meters away, even though the desired lock is in bluetooth range. (Note: I'm on Marshmallow and the location permission IS granted.)
We have this thing for the 3 doors I use and if the weather temperature cold enough, it won't perform.
We use KISI at our office, and while there are some Bluetooth errors, the convenience more than makes up for it.
I had the chance to use this system daily for 6 months at my last office and it was pretty incredible. Giving investors a guest key via email before they arrived made me look good many times, thank you KISI!
The KISI App has made managing access simpler. I can give guest access to freelancers and vendors. One of the best features is real time reporting, it has certainly made security audits easier. It only takes about one second to unlock and I no longer have to carry multiple key fobs to navigate our space.
I force closed it and it keeps coming back. Uninstalled.
Says that app is locked to the device running 2.3.1. No idea what that means. And why it has to lock on to one device I don't know
Crashes
My office forces us to use this horrible system. In a dual elevator building, there are lots of problems.. As long as there is one elevator on the floor the other elevator won't go to the same floor. Additionally the app constantly crashes, to the point I just want to yell BC it is the only way I can get into the office. I would be lying if I said I hadn't cursed the kisi app a good number of times. Overall this app is more of a hassle than solution. A hassle that needs its own solution, old school keys.
Simple, comfortable, perfect
Works as advertised! As soon as you have your kisi device set up with your doors, you can easily unlock them all from your phone. Sweet! +1
