About MobileKnox

MobileKnox is a password manager with many features:
* The super strong and very secure encryption standards AES and SHA are used to keep your data safe.
* MobileKnox provides categories to easily organize your data.
* Entries can be searched by title and content to easily find your data.
* MobileKnox comes with an automatic lock that is activated if MobileKnox is idle for a certain (configurable) amount of time to keep your data hidden of strangers.
* Random, unguessable and secure passwords can be easily generated by shaking your phone.
* MobileKnox can be easily synchronized with DesktopKnox. DesktopKnox runs on MS Windows, Apple Mac OS X, and Linux. It is available for free and can be downloaded from http://www.mobileknox.com
* Entries already used near the current position can be displayed. This allows you to find entries that are used only on certain positions.
* MobileKnox can import encrypted xml files (as generated by DesktopKnox and MobileKnox).
* The entries can be exported to an encrypted xml file format that can be read by MobileKnox and DesktopKnox.
* MobileKnox can be installed on the SD card (if available).

Good product. I would like to see a decent sized pin style keypad entry option upon opening the app. This would make it faster and more convenient to access.

Does this thing need to be so difficult!? Can't move into to a new phone no matter what I do! Website is no help at all!

The companion app "DesktopKnox" now has an expired security certificate and Windows flags it every time it starts. I emailed the developer over a month ago and have still not received a reply. Without the desktop app and synchronization, this app has become worthless to me. It's fine if you only need it on one device, otherwise I'd pass.

Wow! Imported all of my Keeper data into the free PC portable app DesktopKnox & then syncd over Wifi to Mobileknox on my Samsung S. Just perfect.

X70%

Great app and very secure. You need premium version to edit.

X70%

The ability to sync both to win and linux without an expensive desktop client purchase makes it a winner for me. Purchased the premium key already.

I started using Knox for Symbian in 2008 and switched to the Android version in 2011, apparently the last year it received a maintenance update. The "pro" key is incompatible with Android 4. The desktop app no longer installs properly. The GUI is clunky and annoying. The adware makes it that much worse. I'm writing this while taking a break from manually copying dozens of entries to OI Safe, which does everything useful Knox does but cleaner and faster and it's open source so I sleep better.

Excellent appreciate. Synced with computer flawlessly and very easy. Best in market.

K70%

Useless, will not sync with pc despite paying premium. Emailed requsting support but no reply after 4 days!

K70%
by K####:

The desktop app won't allow you to copy and paste info and .neither app will let you import or export unless It's an encrypted xlm file. Not user friendly at all

P70%
by P####:

A simple list manager that's password protected. On the plus side it keeps the data locally instead of storing it in the "cloud" (I hate that). Could also use more info on what encryptation method used so we know how secure it is.

The mobile app seems to work well and installed easily to my LG Spectrum. I like it. However the desktop app to go with it so far will not work on either my Mac or my PC. You get error messages but they disappear before one can copy them down, and the mobile app can't talk with the PC app. The help and documentation don't amount to much. All this means I can't back up my data given ordinary skill and effort. In six months the desktop might work well enough. For now I suggest avoiding this developer's stuff.

K70%

I can't find the desktop version to download, so the ability to sync is useless.
