About Vibration Notifier

Maybe you know this situation: Your phones lays on your desk, you're in the kitchen and you get called. You do not hear your ring and when you come back to your desk, you don't notice that you were called because your device has no notification LED or you don't notice that little blinking...

Vibration Notifier offers a solution to this scenario: When you have a missed call, unread SMS or any other event*, the app keeps vibrating every X minutes for Y times or until you turn on the display of your device.

Troubleshooting: The app won't beep if your device is set to silent mode etc. Please note that the app does not change the vibration setting of the other apps, it will only do additional vibrations/beeps if you don't turn on your display before!

An optional feature is available as an in-app purchase (0.99 EUR) with which you'll get these repeating vibrations on your Android Wear smartwatch!

* all apps which notify you about new events by showing a notification in the Android status bar are supported, like WhatsApp, GoogleTalk, Twitter, facebook, etc. Note that this require access to your notification bar

---------
If the app doesn't work: Please check if your device manufacturer implemented a "feature" which prevents apps from running, like Samsung's "Battery Optimizer", Sony's "Stamina", Huawei's "Protected Apps" or anything like that.

---------
Silent hours: Please note that when you set up a silent hours interval in the app, only Vibration Notifier itself won't vibrate or beep. It does not mute other apps so if you receive a new mail, your Gmail app might still beep!
Initial vibration: The app vibrates/beeps after the time set in the app - it does not vibrate/beep immediatelly when you receive a notification (the notifying app is responsible for that vibration)! However, there is an option in the app to get the initial vibration on the connected Android Wear device.

Permissions:
VIBRATE - obviously necessary to enable the "vibrate every X min" feature
READ_PHONE_STATE - needed to detect missed calls
RECEIVE_SMS & READ_SMS - needed to detect unread SMS
WAKE_LOCK - seems like this is needed on some device to avoid infinite vibrating
READ_CALL_LOG & READ_CONTACTS - needed to differentiate between missed & rejected calls
READ_CONTENT_PROVIDER & GET_ACCOUNTS - necessary for new method to get unread Gmails
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Android Wear communication

Such a life saver! Problems with getting notifications on my Sony Xperia e5 and this app works around it. Would give five stars if it offered instant notification beeps

It's good. The only thing i cant work out is that it still vibrates even after I've dismissed and read the notification. Would be good if this could be fixed. Have Moto g4

So Uhm.. I like it but I haven't gotten a single vibration yet on my android wear device.. even though my friend I had spam my skype with the message "hi" over and over again. Skype created the notifications in the bar and I selected to add it manually.. I had other notification intercept things running but disabled all of them including android wear's own stock application. The only application with notification access now is this one and even with doing all that and resetting my smart watch and having skype spammed (my phone is on vibrate only) and I have the "send to android wear device only" checkbox checked, I still get nothing. I really like the design I just wish it DID something. This is probably a rare case as My device is actually a samsung gear S2 or whatever flashed from Tizen to Android Wear ...

i bought the paid version for android wear and to my disappointment it's not working on my Huawei watch.. i've got the developer preview for android wear it could be the issue but i don't think so it should cost that much of a difference since it is just a command handled by phone to revibrate the watch.. so disappointed.. *reply >yes i am aware of that but could that change the disappointment since of all the apps i installed for my watch only yours doesn't work.if the preview comes out tommorow?? what?

I am a new android wear user. I was so desperate trying to find a solution to incoming call notifications in my android wear. When I first tried the paid version, it let me down. I thought i bought the app for nothing. I didn't get the notif in the watch. The next day, when I thought the app was no good, an incoming call notif finally appeared in my watch. I was really surprised. It seems the app is finally working after I restart the watch.

This does exactly what it's supposed to very well. However I do wish I could filter by person texting me.

Fantastic program, works well, reliable. Only wish it could vibrate 2x, 3x each time (buzz, buzz instead of just buzz) because an single vibrate sometimes isn't enough to be noticed.

This app is fantastic and solves the weak vibration problem in my Huawei Honor 8. Now I don't care if I miss the initial weak vibration. This app will buzz the hell out of me a few seconds later.

*i gave a weak review bcuz i had to purchase your app to find it would not help me. I am well aware you are not responsible for Sony SmartWatch shortcoming. *7/7 update: unfortunately my internet services went down and i was unable to set up a quick refund after purchasing to see if your app could help me. Sad too that in none of the Sony3 sw reviews mentions the exceptionally weak vibration :( *original post: Specifically if it will increase vibration intensity on my Sony 3 SmartWatch :(

Doesn't repeat vibrations on wear device, only on phone. Can I get a refund? Feel the wear is much better and FREE

Q70%
by Q####:

I have mixed feelings about this app. I feel like the free app app is deceptive. If you want to actually use it to change the vibrations on your watch you have to purchase it. I uninstalled the free app immediately and downloaded "Feel The Wear" where a number of their functions are free. However, Feel The Wear felt like it weakened the strength of the vibration on my Moto 360. (The problem I'm trying to solve.) So I came back and decided to buy this app. It's very simple, easy to use and straightforward. It doesn't intensify the vibration (but I don't think anything can). And the feature to keep notifying you until you respond is perfect. For a buck that's not bad.

Works as it should do! my new phone don't let you change the vibration but this app helps me as I set it for 5 seconds and its enough for me to know iv'e got a text or call. I'm a bit deaf so it helps a lot. Only thing I would like to change about the app is to have it done in seconds and not milliseconds as it would be easier to use. But Great app so far

Q70%
by Q####:

I notice the app says that if my phone is on silent it won't vibrate on my watch, it says that on the main screen. But when I click on the settings it has a setting for it to vibrate on the watch even when the phone is on silent. It won't vibrate on my watch when the phone is on silent though but I need it to. I just paid for this app and it wont even work for what it says it will.

Q70%
by Q####:

I love the fact that I get repeating notifications on my Android Wear Smartwatch. Engaged and active developer. One of my favorite apps. Would be even better if it could also push repeating notifications to my Ditto.

Q70%
by Q####:

You just need to add the app's for which you need the remainders on unattended notifications. It has good settings & it works fine.
