Media-Mute

This really is the perfect app. I prefer to mute by swiping down on notification tray, and just use the volume toggle icon (so I don't have to hold down my volume button and wait for it to hit mute mode). I'm using the Galaxy S8 and this is just what I needed. And the fact it restores volume upon un-mute is glorious. Android really should build this into stock volume functionality. My only question is in the app, there's a setting for "Show icon in launcher". What does this do? *Edit* I understand what hide icon does now. It completely hides the shortcut to the App. I don't recommend this, as there seems to be no way to get back to that settings page afterward without re-installing. Also, if you are on S8, you can already hide icons from the launcher with the stock options.

Just what I needed. Apps that silence the phone when triggered by a calendar event do not turn off multimedia or alarms. This app solves the first problem. Alarm Clock Plus solves the second one.

Does exactly what I want. Have a oneplus 5 with an alert Slider and 3 modes. Silent, do Not disturb, normal. Only Problem was that do not disturb didnt mute Media volume. With this App that Problem is gone. Thanks allot

In android 6 when we turn on silent mode for all calls notification media ..in that time media volume cannot increase ...i want this feature... In your app its a simple macro which can be created by macrodroid app

Mutes the media volume when enabling do not disturb. Works very well. Fixed my biggest irritation with Android. Now I have the option to mute all sound.

There are only a few apps that actually silence the entire phone, and this one does so while still allowing one to use the built-in OS GUI shortcuts. Recommended. Many thanks.

Selecting do not disturb does not change media volume after installing and opening app (i guess it runs as background service after that and do not require opening again after phone restart?). Don't know why its displayed in the app store for my phone since it obviously is only compatible up to 5.0 when reading description. Would be great if it worked though. Even better if I was able to lock the mute for media even when using volume buttons (option tickbox)

2nd app I have gotten from you, and just love it. You would be so surprised how hard it is to find just a simple app to do want you phone should have been able to do in the first place. Thank you again for developing exactly what I needed and wanted. Must love and appreciation to ya.

It's a perfect addition to android, and enables what iPhone converts expect from a muted phone: silenced media! I cannot thank the developer enough for this.

Still works for nougat! And hasn't been updates since Oct 2016. Just be sure this app isn't selected for battery optimization in device maintenance. Swag!

Wonderful! Makes the 'sound'/'mute'/do-not-disturb' button do what it should do, mute ALL sound, except alarms from the standard clock app.

First thing I install on a new phone. Only needs an option to not affect Bluetooth audio to be perfect.

I really like what this app does for android, but is it possible to add an option to leave the bluetooth media unmuted? It cant get annoying having to unmute it when going into my car

Works perfectly. Originally had issues as it seems like i wasnt opening the app properly. At the screen with the tick box there is no button to press 'ok' or similar. So i used the 'back' button which it seems turned the app off again. Now pressing 'home' button and it seems to work. All good

Best APP ever!! No more game/video sounds in the lecture anymore. However, it will be better if it doesn't affect the volume of Bluetooth streamed audio.

This has become an absolute necessity for easily muting all media volume via my alert slider. But I recently updated to Android Marshmallow, and it doesn't support it!

I've used a similar app but it hasn't been updated since 2012. This one was just updated last week! Works beautifully. A thousand times Android needs this included with their phones. Thank you!!

Awesome app. Finally an app to fix a screw up in Android. This behaviour should be be default in Android. Thanks so much as I was about to go back to iPhone.

After a day of not using silent or vibrate mode and then when I need to use it where I don't need sound it had the media volume all the way up and had me embarrased.....shame.....

I always wanted to mute say Snapchat audio on do not disturb on Samsung phones but could never figure out how. BUT, this doesn't work on do not disturb, instead put your phone on mute

It's really good, exactly what I was looking for. Is it possible though to add an option to make it silence the music stream also when on vibrate and silence mode? That would be perfect. Nice job anyway!

Combine with new the android 5.x "do not disturb" = perfect management/selectiv hearing. ;)

We have 2 Note 4's running 5.1.1 and this is a marriage saver. We frequently wake up at night and check our phones for news, messages, etc. Even though our phones are muted, there frequently seems to be a page that starts blaring a story or ad. This app stops that. It runs in the background, so it takes awhile to trust that it's working; an icon in the status bar might be helpful. Good job devs!

Works in both silent mode and vibration mode. Nice work.

It works better than VolumeControl+ on S5, as it keep force stop its own for no reason. This media mute is extremely lightweight too. Keep up the good work!
