Fahrten in bekannten Regionen verlangen eine geringe Informationstiefe. Plätze und Wege sind bekannt. Die Herausforderung beginnt, wenn das Ziel außerhalb des Straßennetzes in einem unbekannten Gebiet liegt.

Der Polter im Wald ist der Startpunkt für die Holzwirtschaft. Holzeinkäufer und Transporteure müssen den Punkt im Wald finden. Wenn der Holzverkäufer bzw. der Auftraggeber die Koordinaten des Polters mitteilt, können die Koordinaten in der App erfasst werden und der Polter erscheint wahlweise auf einem Luftbild, einer Straßenkarte oder einer topographischen Karte. Die eigene Position wird während der Fahrt fortlaufend über GPS aktualisiert.
