About KnowledgeBase Builder Free

With the InfoRapid KnowledgeBase Builder, you can create mind maps and flowcharts of almost unlimited size, which are displayed partially by the program. This allows you to organize all your ideas and knowledge in a browsable cross-linked chart and memorize them by the help of the flashcards method. You can even create complex process charts and decision trees just as well. The layout is recalculated automatically for each view. You have the choice between a mind map and a flowchart layout and a table view, where items can be rearranged by drag and drop. Clicking on an item brings it to the center of the diagram and as such allows you to navigate from view to view. You can also do a full text search for item names and jump directly to the item you have found. One highlight of the program is the Wikipedia and Twitter import, where all articles and tweets referring to a selected topic are automatically transferred into the diagram. The data is stored in a local database file, which has the same format on all supported devices, so that you can edit your database alternately on Android or on Windows. Your data can be exported as a formatted HTML text document with a table of contents, the mathematical formulas and the images. Other highlights are the powerful text analysis function, which allows you to automatically create mind maps by marking text passages in a document, and the assignment of categories to items and relations. Images can be attached to each item and displayed in an image preview. You can also display small iconic images next to each item. The program can do much more, just give it a try.

The free version is limited to work with one single KnowledgeBase file. The paid version allows you to work with any number of KnowledgeBase files.

- Save your knowledge and ideas in a knowledge database and display them as mind map
- Create complex flowcharts, decision trees and process charts
- Connect any items by labeled lines
- For text analysis, mark text locations in order to take them over as new items into the diagram
- Mind Map and Flowchart layout
- HTML text notes for items
- 3D view
- Enter description text for items and relations and display it as tooltip
- Navigate in the diagram by tapping on an item or doing a full text search for the item name
- Create new items and connection lines by drag and drop
- Export the diagram as a bitmap or as a formatted html text document
- Import CSV data into the diagram

What are users saying about KnowledgeBase Builder Free

by M####:

Great idea. Free version does not seem to have an obvious method for sync with PC or web based version apart from importing and exporting, exporting and importing every time. No import from or export to other outline or mindmap formats such as .mm seems to be possible. Cumbersome.

L70%
by L####:

As others have said: Great idea. But... You need to have your "mind map" made before you put it in this app, because if you add A and then C, going back later to stick B in the middle is at best confusing, and at worst, literally impossible. Too, even in the paid version, the ability to share databases is dubious. (I emailed the devs.) It seems they've gone to great lengths to lock you into their expensive ecosystem. Moving on!

I have to set arrow to none over and over again. on some diagram I don't even need arrows at all. but this task make me crazy. oh and the color too! always back to automatic color on the next shape.

X70%
by X####:

The idea behind it is great but the application itself is very slow and I have found it unintuitive(hard to use)

Overall pretty awesome. A little difficult to maneuver on my cell phone. (Motorola Pure X)

This is neat. Best and most functionally unique app I've used in quite some time. I love the dynamic importing of related Wikipedia articles.

M70%

Very impressive features. Also relatively generous with capabilities in the free version though I find it useful enough I will probably splash out on the pro vers.

Work with app very hard, user friendly is low

Nice app, Thank you developer

Amazing way of diving into wikipedia and making notes

D70%

Love the Wiki search, but would love a google scholar and general google search option. A minor screen scrolling problem on an older Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4, but otherwise very easy to use.

It does what I need it to do.

I have used a lot of mindmapping apps...this is the best I've seen, and I paid for the full version but...not cross-platformed...so if you are an apple user you must wait. WHENthey come out with an apple version this is going to blow away all other mapping tools. To see what Imean you have to try it out. Too many benefits to list here, but worth considering even in it's limited state.

D70%
by D####:

This app has a lot of features and an original outlay and feature set but I struggled to make it work for me...drawing lines and arrows to multiple objects.

H70%
by H####:

Best one. Although free version has so many features I will be upgrading to paid version as well.

Great application

A70%
by A####:

Amazing app! By the heavens I love the complexity of this, compared to all the other generic mind maps. What makes it worthwhile is being able to add heavy descriptions to each of the nodes, and even have it displayed by expanding them without needing to go inside them like ALL the competitors. Personally for me, the auto arranging of the nodes let's me focus on writing rather needing to tediously position them myself. I haven't purchased it, but so far I definitely like what I see, keep up the good work!

Z70%
by Z####:

Decent mapping tool. Nice search facility. But - would be better if it let you save .kdb files where you want to, rather than insisting on set location.

D70%
by D####:

The title says all..:(

Y70%
by Y####:

This is really a nice app. But when i tried to repostion tab/icon/node i wont. The only option i have is to either zoom in or zoom out. I really appreciate if you provide functionality to reposition node anyehere on canvas

D70%
by D####:

Even though the app has not reached its full potential it is still far nicer than many out there. The interface is clean and very unique. Definitely an app I will keep for a while.

D70%
by D####:

Fancy, schmanzy 3D effects do not adequately compensate for the *total* lack of any meaningless import/export features. No support for standard MindMapping formats of *any* kind.

D70%
by D####:

Excellent. Just doesnt feel optimized yet. But it's functionality alone earns 5 stars. Runs slightly choppy on a galaxy tab 10.4

M70%
by M####:

And no original style mindmaps.
