MarkupNotes for Android
Very good, but seems abandoned.
Use it every day. Very convenient note application.
If the images could be embedded into the page it would be perfect!
Thank you Mr Developer!
This app has one essential feature for me, which is the ability to easily link between notes using wiki-like syntax. There are a couple other markdown capable note apps that do so somewhat unintentionally using the markdown link syntax and putting a file path for the URL, but doing so is quite cumbersome. This app does win in that regard. However, MarkupNotes provides no additional support for actually typing in the brackets, asterisks, parentheses, and angled brackets you need to input markdown markup. "Write: Tablet Notepad/Journal" has the best implementation I've seen in that regard, with a row of buttons above the keyboard to add those characters with one tap, but that app lacks in other areas (no real inter-note linking). If MarkupNotes would add a bar of buttons for one-touch insertion of tag markup, I would give it five stars and pay for a "Pro" version if it existed.
When new page is created it needs to title it on the page. As is, feels awkward to use. Generally seems potentially very useful.
Start out with 5 star rating. ( + = plus, - = min, / = neutral ) / Works only with .md files, that's fine. It's still a raw text file. - Too bad it can't open .md files from your file explorer + Nice good looking minimal app. + folder setting is changeable, so is syncable with dropbox/dropsync - - Markdown syntax seems to be bit different when it comes to internal linking
I miss filetype binding; it would be nice to open all ".md" files using this
Just what I was looking for!
Would be even better if it was opensource. Five stars, still.
This is a great little app and very close to what I was looking for to create a Dropbox-Markdown knowledge repository. However, it would be much better if it supported: 1. Custom directory 2. Nested directories/sitemap navigation 3. Syncing with Dropbox (not critical, but nice like the Epistle app) 4. Sitemap as Home page option (I don't need an intro content page to my own wiki.) 5. Remove Help from Sitemap (redundant) 6. Tie-in with a desktop wiki app so that an equivalent experience can be had regardless of the device used. 7. Custom CSS Thanks for a great app, and free at that! However, I'll use Epistle for now since it provides essentially the same functionality along with syncing and the custom directory.
Right direction, but not quite as good as Epistle. Works. Would be even better if it was opensource. Five stars, still.
