Akkuentleerer

Der Akkuentleerer lastet die CPU des Gerätes während der gesamten Laufzeit aus, so dass eine gleichmäßige und schnelle Entladung des Akkus möglich ist. Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit die Hintergrundfarbe zu steuern, welches bei Geräten ohne Hintergrundbeleuchtung (OLED Displays) zusätzlich für Stromverbrauch sorgt.

Da alle neueren Geräte einen Li-Ion Akku besitzen, hat das vollständige Entladen keinen direkten Effekt auf die Lebensdauer des Akkus. Die sogenannten Smart-Batterys haben eine Elektronik im Akkupack, die unter anderem die Kapazität ermittelt und woraus z.B. bei Notebooks die angezeigte Laufzeit berechnet wird.

Das vollständige Entladen ist also nicht für den Akku notwendig, sondern für die Elektronik. Bei dieser gibt es Messfehler, die sich bei jedem Ladezyklus summieren. Ein gelegentliches vollständiges Entladen setzt diese Werte zurück.
