Die Bibliothek versteht sich als zentraler Ort für das selbstgesteuerte Lernen und fördert in Form von Beratung und Schulungsangeboten intensiv die Medien- und Informationskompetenz ihrer Nutzer. Insgesamt bietet die Bibliothek über 120 Lese- und Arbeitsplätze. Es gibt Räume für Schulungen, Gruppenarbeit, Seminare und Veranstaltungen. Die HdM Bibliothek bietet den Zugriff auf über 9000 e- journals weltweit. Aktuell bietet die Bibliothek Zugriff auf über 70.000 E- Books, 60.000 Bücher und 1.500 Filme.
