VRN Ticket

Whether you travel by S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram or bus, the VRN Ticket app enables you to purchase the right mobile phone ticket for anywhere in the Rhine-Neckar transport association (VRN) area until just before your journey begins. It updates you on the position of your train and any disruption due to construction work

The functions at a glance:
• Ticket purchase directly in the app:
The ticketing function is a convenient way to buy single-journey, multi-journey, daily, weekly and monthly tickets for the whole of the Rhine-Neckar transport association (VRN) area. You can also use your BahnCard. Payment is by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Amex) or direct debit. It is also possible to purchase tickets for friends or relatives.
• Subscription:
You can use the subscription portal to add Rhein-Neckar-Ticket, Karte ab 60, MAXX and SuperMAXX subscriptions. When you travel, simply use the app instead of the plastic card (the digital ticket is accepted in ticket checks on the train). You can view your customer details in the subscription portal. If you do not yet have a subscription, you can order a Rhein-Neckar-Ticket or the Karte ab 60 directly in the app. The subscription portal is being constantly expanded. Planned features include the ability to order MAXX and SuperMAXX subscriptions, change customer details, manage subscriptions and much more besides.
• Integrated timetable information for the whole of the Rhine-Neckar transport association (VRN) area:
You can use the journey planner to find connections between any stations, stops or addresses you like within the VRN area. The interface is quick and straightforward, just as you are used to from DB Navigator. Saving your daily route as a favourite is easy.
• Next departures:
Already know which line and stop you need and want to quickly look up when the next trains are leaving? The "Timetable" section shows you the next departure times for your route and any delays.
• Map:
The perfect navigation aid if you want to continue your journey from the station by bike or rental car or just to see a map of your surroundings. Alternatively, use the app to find out where you are and locate nearby stations, bus and tram stops, or bikes and cars to rent.
• Network maps:
Want an overview of public transport in the VRN area? In the "Network maps" section, we have stored the most important maps for you.
• Construction work:
We are continuously modernising the VRN route network for you. This sometimes leads to deviations from the timetable. You can find out about these in the "Construction work" section.
• Trusted App Certification:
The "VRN Ticket" app has received Trusted App Certification from the security experts at mediaTest digital. This certifies that Deutsche Bahn complies with the privacy and data security rules under the Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz). The app features secure payment methods and encrypted communication of user data. It only uses trusted secure server connections.
