VBB "Bus & Train" app: Route planner and tickets for all public transport in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Please note: The menu can be accessed through the VBB app by swiping from left to right.
Timetable information
- Home: Route planner and mobile phone ticket can be used immediately
- Connection information for all services regarding regional transport, commuter trains, underground, trams, buses and ferries throughout the entire Berlin-Brandenburg network area
- Real-time data from almost all transport companies in Berlin and Brandenburg
- On time: Departure times at stops/stations with the possibility to adjust the display
- Connections/routes can be added to your calendar or shared with friends via text message, email, Twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp
- Network plans: once downloaded, they are also available offline
Handyticket (mobile phone ticket)
- Short-journey tickets, single tickets, day passes, small-group day tickets for the entire network area of Berlin and Brandenburg; in Berlin are also 4-journey tickets available as well as tickets for tourists (WelcomeCard CityTourCard)
- Payment by direct debit or credit card
- Prepaid payment without providing personal data information
- Registration for customer account e.g. for receipt processing requests
- For occasional users and tourists, purchase by credit card without registration
- Use of the VBB account in the “Handyticket-Deutschland-App” for purchasing tickets to use in many other regions within Germany
Access rights: exclusively for features within the app
- Contacts: take over the addresses from your own contacts to the start/destination search (e.g. search for girlfriend Petra by typing "Petra")
- Calendar: Enter the found searches into your own calendar as an appointment reminder
- Tracking: Displays the nearest stop/station for the search for transport links, or the boarding stop/station associated with the mobile phone ticket (Handyticket)

Diese Anwendung eines öffentlich-rechtlichen Verkehrsverbunds sendet Google/Apple Informationen über Nutzerverhalten, Standort etc. Wer hier nach Verbindungen sucht, Tickets bucht etc. muss damit rechnen, dass er zum gläsernen Bürger wird. Das darf nicht sein! Warum wird diese App nicht über Google-Play angeboten und warum nicht downloadbar von der VBB-Website?

This is THE BEST public transportation app I have ever used! We were at Schloss Cecilienhof in Potsdam and no taxi would pick us up, and this app led me through trails to get us to the right bus stop! I've used many public transpo apps, and none of them are as complete as this one. Thank you, VBB! Can you please share your app with CapMetro in Austin, Texas?!

Not reliable search. Navigated me to the wrong side of Berlin. I used the same hotel name for search in Google maps and it brought me to destination.

storing "a to b now": looks ok. storing "b to a some time tonight": stored "a to b now" suddenly also shows tonight time! of course, i can use "earlier"... hit, scroll down, hit, scroll down. do that for a difference of 6 hrs and you go mad! if at least the buttons for earlier an later were on top, too. but not even that! please, fix and test for usability thoroughly!

Spent half an hour trying to register on this garbage, foreign credit cards can be entered but are rejected. Prepaid is a bank transfer despite entering a card number. Translation is execrable. Good thing Berlin is in no way an international city or anything.

It used to work great on my previous phone (Android 444 till 511). But on this older Android that Im using right now it crashes every time i scroll down the list of connections.

The app is better suited if you have a basic level of German. Subway schedules are fine. Bus schedules are not very reliable yet.

"handyticket" dumpfe prahlerei: stürzt nur ab. Auch die einfache Verbindungs-Ermittlung ist nicht gerade "stabil". isses denn wirklich so schwer, mal was richtiges zu programmieren? wär auch schön, wenn es die Ergebnisse vom rest vor dem Absturz wenigstens ein paar Sekunden hielte, man könnte sich die anzeige - die immerhin kommt! dann vielleicht noch merken ...

Very user unfriendly. Nowhere to be found are start or what would you like to do etc etc. Only Installed is seen. So what!!! Totally useless info. Also no icon installed. Why not?????

Please bring back the refresh button for current connections, or 'current information' is useless, because it gets old pretty soon. Also, the list of lines available at a stop bloats up the selection lists unnecessarily. This is only useful in the connection screen.

Berlin bus drivers refuse to accept this app as there is no name on the ticket. I was refused entry due to this.

Not being able to paste an address in the destination field is a no-go. This functionality was there before the update: long-pressing the destination text box popped up the option to paste from the clipboard. Not sure why you'd want to remove this? Switching back to Öffi /sigh

Welcher hirntote Prakti hat diese Nullpointersammlung verbrochen?! Es kann nicht sein, dass die Ticket-App jedesmal ca. 3-5x gestartet werden muss, bevor man überhaupt mal kaufen oder die Fahrkarte dem Schaffner zeigen kann. Das ist beinah unbenutzbar und heißt potentiell, dass ich doppelt bezahlen muss. Eure dämtliche Marketingabteilung soll das mal benutzen statt Lobhudeleitexte zu schreiben. Dringend nachbessern, das ist noch unterirdischer, als was man sonst vom VBB gewohnt ist.
