About München Navigator
It does not matter if you use the train, the underground or the bus. If you use the 'München navigator' (in the past the “Navi S-Bahn München”) you can now buy a ticket on your mobile, including all forms of transport within Munich (MVV). You buy your ticket and off you go - flexible and uncomplicated! Additional you get actual informations, when there are disruptions on the track.
How does it function?
Buy your ticket directly by app
You can travel all over Munich using the new ticket (MVV) - single tickets, day tickets, stripe Tickets, the airport-city-day-ticket, the city tour ticket or a day ticket for your bike. You pay by credit card (visa, master card, Amex) or by bank transfer.
Intergrated information of the Munich timetable (MVV)
The timetable information gives you information about connections and addresses in Munich. It is just as convenient as the German Railway (DB) navigator. You can store the information under 'favourites'.
Check the next Trains at your Station
You can see an overview of all trains at your station and check for delays
Disturbances (Störungen)
You can get information in the case of sudden changes of timetable.
Confirm present position
You can check your present position, especially if you are a stranger in Munich. Use the app. and find out where you are and where the best bus stop or station is in order to reach your destination.
Subscription function (alarm function for delays)

Die Live Map speichert zwar jetzt die Linien, nicht aber die Zoom-Einstellungen, so dass man jedes Mal neu einstellen muss. Und immer noch kein Längsformat, was es mal gab.

Die Anzeige von Verspätung und Ausfällen ist unbrauchbar. Beispiel: es ist nicht unterscheidbar ob ein Zug nun unterwegs ist und pünktlich kommt oder einfach ausgefallen ist.

Seit Google maps so oft falsch liegt bei den Abfahrtszeiten in Giesing, musste ich mich nach was neuem umsehen. Die App ist wenigstens besser als die Apps von MVV und MVG. Am besten wäre es wenn Google maps mal die richtigen Infos hätte :(

Warning: do not try to purchase tickets for trains more than 2 hours in advance. No matter what you search and select, it issues tickets that start immediately and expire in 4 hours. This is extremely deceptive and there is no way to cancel or refund. Overall terrible usability.

Have cleared cache and reinstalled, but all stations now frequently show "no connection". Also "Now" button too small. Uses way to much data each time it's opened

Die live map find ich super und die allgemeine Verbindungsfindung auch. Allerdings ist die app bei zugausfällen oft nicht auf dem neuesten stand. Da steh bei den details, dass zwei Züge ausfallen und genau diese sind dann in der verbindung noch drin. Die anderen funktionen wie ticketkauf oder carsharing nutze ich nicht.

S1 today information in app and at stations completely different. Bought a ticket to the airport travelled on an S1 that only went to Freising. This app cost me 50 euro in taxi costs!

Waste of time. Get a paper ticket instead. Registration process is terrible. It is tedious, with a lot of fields and then it fails, forcing you to start over. It is not worth it. Also, there are no options for recovering forgotten password if you registered in the past.

Tried majority of apps for navigation on public transport in Munich. This one is the best. Do not forget to open the menu on the left side of the app - you will be surprised how much information is there that you were missing and tried to search in Internet (like network maps, tickets cost and service notices).

Bessere Alternative zur MVG-App, da auch S-Bahn-Störungen berücksichtigt werden. Allerdings fehlt jeder Hinweis auf Möglichkeit, Passwort zurückzusetzen.

I'm fed up of registering to buy tickets. It keeps saying my log on details are wrong and doesn't give me any option to get a reminder. Awful app. I'm deleting it immediately.

The app works fine, if you chose a station for the departure. If you choose current location, the results are sometimes misleading.

Useless at night, suggests connections where it's impossible to get the bus and than you are in the middle of nowhere. Also doesn't tell you where you have to exit the stations, this is important.
