About Tasker SSHFTPDownUploader

This is a plugin for Locale / Tasker which allows you to up- and download files from a ftp- or ssh/scp-server.

After setting up a file-download insert a wait of a second after this action to give the plugin enough time to finish the download.

To use this application you need the app "Locale" or "Tasker". These programs aren't free and you need to buy them separately.

You can use variables in tasker just by using them in the file- or directory name. Also the username and the password can be passed via a variable.

Supports ASCII/Binary-Mode
Username/Password-Authentication
Interactive Authentication

I want my money back, it just does not work. Connects nicely to the FTP server (you can see the folders tree) but then upload always results in a 0 byte file

Was surprised that Tasker didn't support FTP natively, but this app worked nicely in the end. Good, minimal app; well integrated with Tasker. --- --- Couple issues I had: --- Some FTP directories are not alphabetized. --- Blank success message misleading. Was creating 0 byte files until changing some settings (binary, extended passive mode), but there was no notification of this. --- Noticed a typo (successfull). --- --- Thank you. --- --- Future support for FTPS?

Excellent - working very well for me on Pixel. I don't know of another plugin that has this functionality.

Giving 3 stars, does what it's supposed to do, but not what I bought it for. ftpput in busybox cannot create directories dynamically. In fact, nothing in busybox can. I bought this app because I thought it would be able to create a directory that does not exist when uploading a file, but it does not seem like it can. Overall, buy this if you simply need to upload a file easily, but for creating timestamped directories, do not.

So I've been messing with the plugin for about an hour now and I can only get files to upload occasionally...and it appears to be random. Anytime they do upload, it's a 0kB file so I've had 0% success so far. I'm just trying to upload a basic html file. Help is appreciated!

I found a bug - no big deal, all software has bugs. If it doesn't, then it is either a useless program, or hasn't been tested well. Anyway, I reported it here, in an earlier review, and got GREAT QUICK feedback from developer. Even a test version of the module. I helped debug the issue. Then the developer fell silent. I have sent email a dozen times or more over a period of at least a month. I realize these people have REAL JOBS, and this may not be their highest priority, but now I am more worried about th

... I would like to be able to use Tasker variables for the filename I want to upload to a server. If this gets implemented, I"ll be happy.

Great app that does what it promises. Failed to authenticate against an anonymous FTP without providing a username (fine with a blank password though), and would be nice to support specifying a destination file instead of directory.

Thank you for taking my suggestions and fixing this app. Now it is very useful and far easier to use. The app is now at a point I would recommend it to anybody wanting to push files using tasker.

I do wish the developer would get back in touch with me. Maybe if I drop the review a star a week.... I TRULY hope he is OK! Ernie
