DavDrive for Android
I thought I finally found proper webdav server, but no luck. Files with size about 200 MB can't be copied on Windows (neither from connected drive nor from Firefox). I've tried all options combinations.
Best WebDAV implementation on Google Play Store. Easily download files with any Windows web browser at max throughput from DavDrive. Use portable WinSCP on Windows to upload at full speed to DavDrive and also download. Getting 11 MB/s on 100Mbit ethernet with DavDrive instead of slow 2 MB/s with SMB.
Exactly what the doctor ordered...Positively terrific! I need a drive letter (not just drag-&-drop), so that I can use drive utilities to search for or move batches of files across many folders. Installs and starts serving the Android root folder to Windows in seconds. There is really nothing to it. First set a username and password (it's used for Windows authentication). Then there is just one button. That's it! Windows Configuration Tips I'm a bit rusty on Windows networking, so it tool me a few minutes to figure out these things: a) The method for getting Explorer to accept an IP address as a network device (it doesn't find it automatically), you must enter the IP address as a URL. The syntax is shown on the Android as soon as you launch. b) And to find the option to "Map Network Drive" (access to this feature changes with each version of Windows. It's no longer under View. In Windows 10, you must create the network device under My PC (not just Networks) and then maximize the ribbon at the top of Explorer to find the 'Map' option.
The best WebDAV implementation and cleanest design on Google Play. WebDAV protocol is more efficient and has faster throughput than SMB for transferring files between mobile and PC. Nice that you can access and map drive from Windows with \ip.address:port. Works perfectly for downloading file sizes up to 4GB from DavDrive but still needs work for uploading file sizes between 2GB and 4GB (<2GB is fine).
DavDrive works fantastically!
unfortunately now file transfer ALWAYS seems to fail half way through.

Works on Nexus 4 running 4.3. Transfer times aren't great, but that probably isn't the fault of this app.
Even if this is a MS-Window problem, DavDrive should do more to make sure that file timestamp are consistent with what Window display.
This worked perfectly to move photos off my Nexus 4. Using Goodsync on windows and connecting over an iPhone hotspot. Effortless. Just works.
I purchased the app and had a problem accessing my external SDCard. I send an email to them and within 15 minutes got a response!! After a second email he had the fix! I AM A VERY HAPPY CAMPER!! If you want to make your new phone's sdcard or extsdcard show up in windows as a drive letter this is a must! To top it all off a REAL bargain too boot!!
It's great, but it should be able to run in the background.
Another must have app (not!)
Great application, perfect for easily transferring files to and from the phone
I dragged and dropped all my music to my phone in one batch. Worth the money. Rooted Incredible 2.
My Windows 7 PC would not acknowledge my Nexus S 4g via USB or Bluetooth so I installed this app and a very short time later over Wi-Fi I transferred 150 songs from my phone to my PC easy as could be, worth every penny!
Has to do this: net use * {webdav url} also needs digest authentication (default setting)
I'm using it with an Ubuntu desktop, and I'm delighted! Fast and error free!
Works great, Evo. Use it to sync my files over Wifi
Fails on transferring anything but the smallest files
Developer fixed issues with writing files from my mac promptly. Software works as advertised.
The absolute best file transfer app on the market. Simple and easy. Be sure to map a network drive on ur pc for the best UI.
Great software. Perfect support
My initial assessment of app was wrong app works well. Dev should tell people though when map as network drive use HTTP not https
Can't find the widget
Excellent .... superb support from developer (HTC Desire)
unreliable, often writes 0kb files. OnAir more robust, free

The app works fine for me. I can mount the drives of my tablet and phone on my PC and use them as any nework drive. I have however one ergonomical problem that I cannot address my android devices by name (The dynamic numeric IP address in the local intranet changes from time to time so that shortcuts to the android drives tend to break as well as saved passwords). I did not yet find a solution that works in my network (my DNS cannot pin to the MAC). This comment does not affect my app rating as this seems to be an android limitation, but ergonomics of the tool would be perfect if the app developers had some idea on how to publish the name into the windows device name browser.
