About RM Bridge

RM Bridge provides a HTTP REST web API to control BroadLink RM1/RM2 units from remote.

Management Console
A management console that implements the RM Bridge API and can be used to learn IR/RF codes can be found at the following URL:
http://rm-bridge.fun2code.de/

Usage
After starting the web service, the RM Bridge API or BroadLink's RM Open API can be called by using a POST / GET or RAW POST request containing a JSON command. For GET/POST requests the cmd parameter contains the JSON Open API command.
To use JSONP, use a GET request together with the parameter callback or jsonp.

API Documentation
RM Bridge provides its own API which can be used without restrictions. The API documentation can be found at the following URL:
http://rm-bridge.fun2code.de/

The Open API is subject to BrandLink’s NDA. In order to get a copy of the API documentation, please contact BroadLink directly.

RM mini 3
The RM mini 3 is not officially supported, but there is a workaround to get it working with RM Bridge.

It is very difficult to understand what devices exactly are supported. I have an RM Pro + with serial number beginning with RM3322. Is this device supported? The fun2code setup site keeps telling me: "Learn Code: Error learning code: mac:34:ea:34:xx:xx:xx not Rmpro+" I used 10026 as device type.

This is pretty amazing (and techie) but it provides a very simple way to learn IR codes and recall the buttons using automation (if you can program in HTML and use wget or curl you'll love this app). The Broadlink eControl app is neat but I can't easily share it on all phones in the house and at 85MB installed size it's not the best fit (and it's worse on my spare iOS phones used for home control). That's where this RM Bridge shines. Docs are a little rough but much easier than most IR code tools (JP1 is one old example with a giant learning curve). Go to the websites they list, start programming up the short URL codes and write up a webpage now anyone in the house can click on my shared list of remotes. Only problem so far is my Android phone I use as a server seems to stop the HTTP server every day, I'll be trying it on an Android TV box or VM and might need to try a crontab entry to cycle it every day.

Just doesn't work with broadlink rm pro despite every setup tutorial saying I need it. For god sake broadlink get your act together. Your on to a winner if you could get off your butt and get it fixed

I wish it supported https for a little added security, but am downgrading from 5 to 1 star because it just stopped working months ago and I sent emails to get some ideas or support and never got a reply.

Seems cool. Just wish it supported more Broadlink devices... would obviate the RM Tasker plugin + Tasker apps (which supports almost all broadlink devices) or having to run HASS.io.

It's not working. I cannot access the address.

Does everything it needs to. Running on a hacked Wink Relay, and could not be happier. It can take a bit of troubleshooting to get it set up correctly, but once you're there it is perfect.

Doesn't work with rm mini3, will change rating if that changes.

Perfect. I run it in an Android VM in VirtualBox so I don't need to keep an Android device laying around.

Thanks for this bridge. Love it!

It works as advertised. Adding IR commands is reliable, but RF is hard to program. Do you have plan to add import from e control?

Thanks so much for developing this and making it so easy to setup!

Works brilliantly on RM3 mini with workaround. API works great and is well-documented. 6 stars!

Works perfectly with the rm2 and RM mini 3 using the workaround.

Great job, tried this bridge and it works well. My question is: Does it need to run the RM bridge (as phone app) in the same wifi network? Also have broadlink SP 2 socket installed (which is using RF) but the API seems unable to detect, hope it is gonna add more capabilities. Thanks

According to other reviews this seems to work fine with BroadLink RM1/RM2. Out of curiosity I tried if it works with Broadlink RM mini 3 (also knows as Black Bean) as well. It doesn't.

Used to be extremely reliable, but now... My shortcuts and codes still exist in 1.2.1, but I cannot execute any. The browser just hangs. I've checked the broadlink device is still on. After downgrading to 1.2.0 it works again.
