About MetaServices MobileSync
MobileSync is an android service that synchronises contacts from LDAP directories including Microsoft Active Directory, Estos Metadirectory, 3iMedia MetaServices, Swyx Visual Contact or any other LDAP compliant service, with contacts of a smartphone or tablet.

Installation:
After installation creating a new account is done by using android account management. The account manager is called by settings - accounts. Here it is possible to create a new account of type "MetaServices MobileSync"
Trial version:
The trial version is limited to one account and 10 records per sync. To purchase the full version open "Advanced settings" in account manager.

Have set up own ldap address book on ubuntu. My galaxy sol would connect but never sync. Could sync using outlook. Tried a number of ldap contact manager apps. This is the only one that worked and it was instant

Successfully syncs against my custom user level address books on OpenLDAP by setting​ the search base DN in the app to the "Contacts" OU under the user's DN. One thing keeps me from buying full version: It needs to sync the LDAP jpegPhoto or AD photo attribute to the phone's contact photo. Both VCF and LDIF store the photo binary data in the same format, so I can't understand this omission. Fix this, and the $5 for the paid version is yours.
