Calendar Event Reminder (CER)

Help please, my alarm didn't go off twice now. I rely on this :( no settings changed, no reason to stop working all of the sudden. update....its doing so again.********12/2/16 again nit working. didnt go off 3 times lately. didnt wake me up in the morning!!!!!

Used / loved this app for a few years but it hasn't been improved in forever (forever = 6 months in AppDev world). Several bugs have persisted in spite of repeated emails sent to the developer. Unfortunate. Forced me to switch to "Calendar Notifications Plus" which is better in some regards and weaker in others.

Excellent app for keeping on track of where the time has got to and what I should be doing. I use it as an aid to managing time since I had a head injury. Couldn't imagine life without it. Would be nice to be able to configure the text used at the start of an alert when using text to speech.

Now working with the Note 4 (New Galaxy S3 and I was missing appointments.) Bought this and am now not missing any. It isn't hard to setup but takes some time to fully understand. I can't find anything else that works as well. Mainly using this with Calengoo. Very happy with this app.

Idk why but itt hasn't been working correctly for a while now.

It doesn't show any reminders anymore. It looks like only some reminders might show up, as long as the default reminder time is used. Uninstalling it (too bad they got my money)

I enter my crazy work schedule on my phone's calendar app and this app turns it into my alarm clock automagically. LOVE THIS. Update 27 Dec '17: App didn't work on my new Pixel 2 XL sporting Android 8.1; alarms weren't firing. After truly going through hell with several less than stellar similar apps I was SO HAPPY to see this app was updated. Oh. Thank. God. If after a few weeks of testing I find it works as well as it did before (on my old phone) I'm buying it again on my second Google account, though it's not needed there, just to support the author!

Been using calendar event reminder for years and it's the best calendar app I've found that combines my work exchange with my personal Google calendar. Also the alarms go off consistently which is so much better than the built in calendar app on my phone. Simple, easy to use and well worth paying for.

I really like this app, unfortunately at the moment alarms don't fire reliably on my Oneplus 2. If I go into the cer alarms list, new alarms don't show up there, if I switch to the all alarms list, they are there. how can I fix this?

Worked well on original phones Samsung S3 and S4. With Blackberry Priv and now Sam S8 it is unreliable. The alarms work intermittently as stated in other reviews which is worse than not at all. Also the creator of the app is not replying to poor reviews which indicate no real ongoing support. It would seem the product is dead in the water.

I absolutely LOVED and dearly depended upon this app to remind me of things. Just popping up a window that says something was not an option. I don't see them, I can't snooze them and they don't work. However, in the last month my OnePlus 5 was having reminders not work. Some did and then a couple here and there wouldn't. Then there was an update and now a LOT of them don't work. This is unacceptable and it really is disappointing because now I have to research to find something else that works the same.

I would give it five stars but. When the reminder pops up clicking on the calendar it opens. You amend the entry, save and you realise that you've just created a duplicate rather than amending the original calendar entry EDIT the new update does not fix the problem

Updated again, new update just made issues worse. I just lost all ongoing reminders AGAIN. Happens at least weekly, no idea why. Lots of reminders never fire or are late, but no patterns to explain why. Amazing for a long time to keep me on track, but it's been buggy since Android 5. Now with Android 6 and 7, they may not fire at all, may fire late, one or all may just disappear. So disappointing because it saved my job. I've given numerous chances, but have to uninstall and find something else

The most useful app in my arsenal. At it's core, it makes a loud alarm ring when there is a Google Calendar notification so I don't miss alarms. It works out of the box and it has a gazillion options so I can make it work the way I want it to. Well designed interface, especially considering how many options it has. This app works hard for me. I've have it since 2013 and it is invaluable on a daily basis. I'm using a Moto X first generation phone.

Downloaded it and tried to get it working. Alarms don't fire. New alarms don't show on the alarm summary. Gave it to an adept 18 year old Android / app user . He couldn't make alarms fire either. Useless. A waste of money and time. I have a Nexus 6P running Android 6.0.1

This app used to be an essential. It was excellent, as it fully integrated my calendar alarms with Gqueues. It doesn't work now, and it's obviously been abandoned by the dev. Really, with a good replacement calendar, I don't need this anymore. Maybe that's why he quit investing in it.

Has been helping me for a few years now! I originally came from PocketPC/Windows Mobile, and calendar reminders had options back then. I set a reminder in my calendar, and it says 'beep'. --What? Did you say something? Oh, look at that, I was supposed to be somewhere!...-- This app brings back some options. With this app, my phone doesn't just beep, it gets my attention, because that's how I want it. If I missed it, it'll try again a couple of minutes later. AWESOME! Why isn't this functionality built into our calendars any longer?

I had really enjoyed using this application. It had worked as promised, but that has changed. The pop up event reminder no longer works. I've sent two messages and it's been over a week, but I've not gotten a response. Please fix this so I don't have to uninstall this application. thanks UPDATE,,,The reminder is working again. Thanks

Awesome couldn't remember a thing without it. I call my alert voice Marcia and she never misses anything. Easy to use and most def get pro version

The pattern below might help others since it seems the developer has abandoned app. Amazing for a long time to keep me on track, but it's been buggy since Android 5. Now with Android 6 update, it's got many serious issues. If I set an appointment with on-time reminder for 11am, the reminder fires at 12:11 pm. It takes the hour of alarm and sets that as the minutes after the next complete hour. If reminder should be 7:00, it begins at 8:07. It's a royal pain until I find a replacement.

Abandoned app. Perfect app when bought in 2015, but for a long time alarms fail to fire or fire late. All alarm/notif apps been updated to fix Android 6 Marshmallow "Doze" feature issues, not this one (last update Dec 2014!). No workarounds helped (devs site). TRIED: 1. Battery Optimisation, add cal + CER + related. 2. App power saving, set all to off. 3. CER "Keep in memory" option. OTHER APPS: 1. CER (different dev) has few features but works. No other apps allow songs + separate volume for cal notif.

I have used this app for years and loved it. However now half my alarms don't fire , which is a real problem. What happened?

After several troublesome weeks, another android update and we may have the app working again. Fingers crossed as it's really good when working properly.

I'm gutted to have to look elsewhere but like other people have said, the reminders are now hit and miss if they go off, especially after snoozing for long periods, like say 24 hours. I so wish the developer would update it.

Used and trusted this app for years, but now that I upgraded to Marshmallow reminders show up late if at all. This can be mostly be fixed by turning off power save mode (which isn't actually named that) but that destroys one of the more important benefits of Marshmallow

Hasn't been updated in years. No longer works reliably on newer phones. After purchasing this and using it for years I'm forced to find an alternative.

(It appeared that this is behaviour by design. It is enabled by default. What for?)

this used to be perfect, but somewhere between swapping to a new phone and upgrading to marshmallow, cer now only sometimes fires the reminders...and when i go in to "check" the missed reminders it claims that nothing's been missed (even if i've been staying at the screen and 2 of 3 reminders still haven't come up). please fix this bug

Used it for many years but it looks like new Android versions aren't supported probably and reminders don't work.

The configuration settings for the app seemed a bit overwhelming to me at first. Until I found out that they allowed me to tweak the calendar reminders so that they just do exactly what I want.

Would have given a 4 star if the TTS reminder reads "... starting in .. days .. hours ... minutes" instead of reading out the calendar event's starting date and time. Would give a 5 star if it lets me customize the TTS message like Calendar Snooze does. I've been using Calendar Snooze (free) for a long time and it mostly fit what I need. But it's reminder volume is always the same as the phone's ringtone. I'm looking for a new Calendar Reminder app that I can lower the reminder volume while keeping the ringtone loud.

This app used to work reasonably well; however, it has not been remotely reliable since I upgraded to Marshmallow. Even after I exempted it from Android's new Doze feature, I still miss as many alarms as I receive. Furthermore, the developers have not responded to my attempts to contact them through email or their website. I disabled the battery optimization for CER before writing my review. CER still doesn't work.

This has made life much easier. I never miss any event! Super easy to use.

Nexus 6p (marshmallow) does not work

Doesn't always pop to front hard to silence

It works once and then doesn't work later. Very unreliable, i bought this and found it waste of money.

Please rectify.

Very good app if a little complex to find the settings you require other than that a superb app. Please could you add in to the TTS announcement the remaining time to the start time of the announcement.
