Disable Charging LED

For Sony Xperia z3v it does work with the z2 setting. But only if the screen is off. What about if you want to turn off the charging led while the screen is on. Like if you are charging while using the phone. I have tried so many apps. This is the only one that does anything, but only if you turn off the screen... Setting the phone face down works if the screen is off...

Sony xperia Z3v here and it works perfect! I have a notification mod app Lightflow and it isn't affected by it, either. I'm able to sleep without the charging led lighting up the room and this way I'm not stuffing my phone under the pillow to hide the light (also not so great for the phone...builds up more heat that way when charging)

Works great! Offers a viable solution without boasting the impossible. Led is still on and visible. But is very dim. Enable the Z2 setting or the LED will flash.

Xperia Z5 Compact, this is exactly what I was looking for. Very good app. Thank you. Had to give it 4 stars because of the timer, which is not working.

Z1 with Lollipop: After the fixes mentioned here it kinda works as long as there are no notifications (backup finished, SMS, new email, etc). If there are then the notification led starts to blink in blinding bright white which is even worse than the original steady green.

This app will turn off the notification LED when charging at night but has no effect on other programs using the LED for notifications which defeats the purpose of this app.

The annoying led charge light has gone! you may need to change some settings on the lollipop update but it works. Just ask the developer if you can't get it to work.

I have the xperia z3v on verizon running Android 4.4.4. Sadly this app doesn't work for my phone. The charging light stays lit the entire time. Getting a refund and looking for something that will work.

I'm not sure why the developer hasn't figured this out, but the reason why this doesn't work in Lollipop is because you're all trying to use this in Silent / Priority mode. So there's no way to get it in silent mode, as this blocks all sounds and notifications (except alarms), however, by default, it won't work in priority mode either, and this is because the App doesn't have access to do so. For this to work, you'll need to go to Sound & Notification / App Notifications / Disable LED. Give the app permission to alert in priority mode, and then this app will work. The way this app works is setting the LED to a very dim colour and registering it as a notification that's triggered by the screen being turned off. Without access to the LED during silent / priority, it cannot work. Good luck.

This app will get 5 stars as soon as the dev fixes the white flashing light bug. This issue makes this app pointless.

***UPDATE: I followed Kevin Cadman's instructions from 21 April and changed Disable LED's notifications to priority in Settings and it's working fine again. Thanks!*** I love this app when it works. I upgraded to Lollipop yesterday but I woke up in the middle of the night with my charging light bright green and lighting up the whole room again. I figure Lollipop's done something to the app. Please find out what's changed and make it work again. Thank you.

Turns off the charging LED as intended which is great! However other notifications cause a white flashing led. Five stars when this is fixed...

I thought I was going to die when I realized how bright the led was on this phone when charging. This app though works great. I did have to set it to dim white light rather than default. It flickered rapidly on default. But the light was so dim that I didn't even notice it or rather it didn't bother me. I wish there had been an option built into the phone but this app was worth the $2

Until latest update which has it blinking weakly not fully off

Very disappointed. When the phone first went in the dock the led blinked a very feint white after which when I awoke about four hours later it was a full on blinking white which was more annoying than the standard charge continuous Led. When I dock the phone I always put it in airplane mode to avoid disturbance from flashing alerts.

Useless. Light stayed green

Bought the Sony magnetic charging dock so I could use my Z3 phone as alarm clock. I need different alarms on different days. The green charging led would stay on and it's so bright. Tried Light Manager and Light Flow and they didn't work. Finally with this app the light is off.
