Android 5: Google removed support for switching data connection programmatically. I'm sorry for this. If there is another solution in sight I will implement it immediatelly. Apart from that "WiFi / Data Lock" is fully working with Android 5.

Android 5: Google removed support for switching data connection programmatically. I'm sorry for this. If there is another solution in sight I will implement it immediatelly. Apart from that "WiFi / Data Lock" is fully working with Android 5.

I thought it would be like an app lock, where to turn on data, you would need to put in your passcode. All this does is keep your wifi off. If you want to use wifi, you have to log into the app and disable wifi lock. For mobile data, this doesn't work anyway.

It doesn't do anything on my device which is Samsung galaxy a5.You can just pull down the notification bar and enable it right away.

Running OS 5.0.2 and data is locked when I try to manually start it when app is set to lock Wi-Fi & data. Don't know if system can turn it on in background but it's locked if I try to manually start data.

Although this app blocked wifi and data, and password protected the ability to turn them on while it was running, it was easily circumvented by simply forcing it to stop through the application manager in settings. It is worthless as a parental control. I will be using Applock with Advanced Protection instead.
