Die Appsite Ditzingen informiert mobile Nutzer umfassend über die Große Kreisstadt Ditzingen. Sie ist kostenlos und besteht aus zahlreichen Einzel-Apps, die ein Konzentrat aus den Inhalten der Website darstellen. Die Inhalte sind themen- und zielgruppenorientiert aufgebaut.

Im Rahmen des Crossmedia-Konzepts werden die Daten aus dem Crossmedia Content Management System (CCMS) synchronisiert und zusammengeführt werden. Die Daten stehen damit ohne zusätzlichen Pflegeaufwand auf verschiedenen Plattformen (Web, Mobile, Apps) zur Verfügung.

Alle Informationen werden auf den mobilen Nutzer abgestimmt: Über die Karten-Schnittstelle finden Sie den Ortsplan, Übernachtungsbetriebe und Gastronomie, öffentliche Einrichtungen, Freizeitmöglichkeiten, Erholungsangebote und Veranstaltungsorte. Die Objekte werden jeweils mit verknüpftem Standort dargestellt.

Eine Neuentwicklung sind Live-Meldungen: Mobile Nutzer können der Stadt nach Registrierung über das Smartphone sofort Informationen über Schäden oder Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten mitteilen. Es können zusätzliche Informationen wie Fotos oder GPS-Standort mitgesendet werden. Auf einer Karte werden die bisher betroffenen Standorte angezeigt.
