Most excellent, can't say enuff. Drove all over Vancouver playing my homeservers music thru fido 3g. Handled the VERY FEW dropouts well 10 stars!!!! Update April 20 2016 ... above still applies. New phone Galaxy S6 Lollipop 5.11 Still driving around listening to MY tunes flawlessly

That I can't change a server's address. Nor can I add a server manually. What gives? Wiped data, uninstalled/reinstalled... No dice. Auto discovery works locally, but wanted to add a remote server. Added it at one point, but changed domain on the server, now I can't change it.

This app was great until I upgraded my 1+1 to Android 5.02 (Cyanogen Mod 12). I used this app for about 4-5 years. Sad that like the native Squeezebox app it is no longer supported. The Squeezebox is dead! Long line the Squeezebox!

N70%
by N####:

1. Doesn't seem to be supported anymore. 2. Works fine on my Samsung Android 4, Motorola G Android 5 and 6 phones, but messes up queue list on Lenovo tablet running Android 5. A pity as I love(d) it.

I found this interface to be more difficult to use than a few other Squeezebox controllers. Spotify works with Squeeze Commander, but when I find a better option, I'll stop using SC. Wish I hadn't spent the money. Also, SC seems to have some issues staying connected to my network.

R70%
by R####:

I give it 4 stars because it works wonderfully. I only wish that the limit for how many music files you can have shown on your phone were changeable, I have a 1.5 TB hard drive, but the Squeeze commander only reads/shows up to the B's in alphabetical order of artists.

by R####:

No longer works in that it won't recognize any players. This used to be a good app, but the last update was in 2011. The Logitech app is not as slick as this one, but the pro version is only $1 and it WORKS.

RUINED BY NEGLECT - I started using this app before logitech discontinued the squeezebox in 2012. It was excellent for many years - truly a delightful app. I still love it when it works, but apparently years of Android development, volunteer development of LMS (thank you mherger!!), and NO BUGFIXES SINCE 2011 to this app have taken their toll. Sometimes it's perfect and sometimes it will not play individual tracks. I've been frustrated with this on 4 different platforms - an LG tablet running Android 4.2 and then cyanogen 12, a Nexus 7 (2012) running Android 5, an LG G2 running Android 5, and a Nexus 9 running 6.0. Clearing the app's cache, force stop and restarting it, restarting android, restarting LMS, restarting the server running LMS, restarting the squeezebox - sometimes one of them works, sometimes not. My 2 - 3 hours a week of serious listening is too important. I'm done with this once excellent app. RIP and thanks for the memories.

Horrible UI. Using it is guess work. It works but free logitech app is simpler and no less functional. No updates for a long time either.

E70%

Does not support Greek characters in search (utf8). Otherwise pretty good. Another complaint is that I asked a refund due to the aforementioned problem but the developer never replied to my email. Definitely customer support is a week point.

N70%
by N####:

No longer supported or updated so not likely to get fixed. Sadly I'd recommend others to look elsewhere now (?squeeze ctrl) was my FAVOURITE squeezebox app.

Have had this for several years and did not realize how much I relied on it until I considered a different player (Olive One) and realized that without a controller such as Squeeze Commander there was no way I could use switch. Have used it on several different devices including Nexus 4 & 7 and Samsung Galaxy 3 with no issues.

Squeeze Commander with Logitech Squeezebox was the best streaming device combo that ever existed. Simply outstanding. As they are no longer produced, I had to replace it with a Sonos, but I miss the squeeze so much.

Running on Samsung tab 3, search for my show on internet radio, finds show, click on show so that I can select from which station to link and......sticks on "loading" indefinitely. Same maneuver in chrome browser works fine. Wasted my money it seems.

This app worked great until I updated my squeezebox juke to the UE Smartradio firmware. I understand they don't support it, but at the same time the squeezeboxes themselves are being phased out so I'd think twice before buying this app.

R70%
by R####:

I am using a Squeezebox touch running it's own server, I can't get this app to work with it. I emailed the developer, no response. Use the squeezer app, it's free and works like a charm!

R70%
by R####:

Excellent app, was well worth purchasing. Renders clunky Duet remote obsolete. Still using in 2015, continues to be excellent. Glad I bought squeezebox devices while they were made.

R70%
by R####:

Love this app. But it has a WOL bug, it never sends the WOL packet. Which means you have to manually switch your Squeezebox on. Big failing for remote control.

R70%

There is no better app to control my squeezeboxes than this one. Too bad development has stopped

H70%
by H####:

I have five squeezebox players in the house. They are great, but the Logitech provided apps are not. This app delivers where they leave off. It is easy to find artists and songs, and simple to link and unlink pkayers. It has a pretty and fluid ui.

Since upgrading to Android 6.0 I am no longer able to select a player. Happy to help with bug fixing, just contact me.

I use this with the LMS 7.9 Beta on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, two Logitech Squeezebox Duets, and my streaming music setup is better than ever. The layout took a little bit of getting used to, but overall this is a very well executed and well supported app. Hats off to the devs for helping keep the Slim Devices dream alive!

I can't tell you how happy I am to have discovered this app after months of not having access to my Squeezebox. This app is super simple and you don't need to do anything except download it :-) If I find any problems I'll come back and edit my review but for now it gets 5 stars for functionality and ease of use. Thank you thank you thank you!

Even if you don't use the Squeezebox hardware, this is a must have app. Combine this with any software player, you can control any of your devices with any of your devices remotely with a unified library.

Much better than the original Logitech. . I love my squeezebox, and when the original squeeze-box app was unsupported, I looked for something similar. After some 3 trials I found this, and no need for further trials :),

The best android squeezebox controller I've yet found. Unfortunately there seems to be a bad bug... I can see my favourites but I can't find any way to play one! Also can see radio stations but unable to play one.

Logitech have given up updating Squeezebox so thanks to these developers for keeping this platform alive. This is much better than all the other apps including the old Logitech one. Unlike another reviewer it works fine on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I also found it quite easy to adapt to even though some things are quite different from other Squeezebox apps

I have had this for years but only use it in the summer time when I am outside. Every time I go to use it, it works ... on every device I have tried (7) over the years, regardless of the Android version.

Have used the official Logitech Squeezebox app for some years but that became more buggy by the day. Finally moved to Squeeze Commander and should have done that years before!

This app works great on my phone and tablet, but not on the android stick in my TV. It looks like the app needs either wifi or 3G, and the stick uses wired ethernet through usb. Fix and there's star #4!

Truly excellent client and remote, and it keeps getting better with updates. I love when it pauses the music for a phone call.

I rarely buy apps but this one is light years ahead of the free alternatives.

Needs update to play nice with Jelly Bean. Screen lock override doesn't work reliably and it takes a few seconds to reconnect after waking the phone. Otherwise works flawlessly in Gingerbread and ICS.

Better than Logitech's POS! Absolutely awesome. Can you give us the option to change the background/ theme? Some of us like to share screen shots of what we r playing with album/artist civer

Hatte Logitech App zuerst, nicht funktioniert!!! Jetzt Squeeze Commander absolut top, einfach zu bedienen und ganze Musik selection von MP3 rübergenommen. Das ganze Geld wert. einfach klasse. 5 Sterne

This app did not work for me. It may have worked well with older versions of Android, however. This app is in desperate need of testing, repair, and updates. I do not think the dev has intentions of fixing it.

K70%
by K####:

Great app. Only fault is some parts of the interface aren't intuitive, but once you learn how to use it, it works perfectly.

K70%
by K####:

Display is rather poor. Radio listening shows duration only in minutes not hours, and station name is even not displayed.

E70%
by E####:

Everything works. I'm running squeezebox server on ReadyNAS and have a password configured for the server. This app works perfectly with it. Logitech's app doesn't. Also, support is sooooo much easier here than with Logitech. Glad I bought it, great work on a great app.

This app is awesome. You can make playlists containing music from multiple source (eg music server ans spotify). Search is fast. Album art beautiful. You can edit playlists directly and reorder them! Read the website to get a handle on the non intuitive UI. The key is "now playing" vs "browse". Takes 15minutes to get it but once you do this app is well worth it. Kudos to the dev!
