BildCodeScanner Full version

With BildCodeScanner it is possible to extract BMP- and JPG-images from PDF417 barcodes easy and fast. This is the puchaseable full version. It can be used infinitely. A free test version of this app is available at Google PlayStore separately (called "BildCodeScanner Test version").

This app contains the following functions:

- Extraction of BMP- and JPG-images from PDF417 barcodes (from camera)
- Extraction of BMP- and JPG-images from clipboard (e.g., from other apps)
- Simple graphical user interface (no advertisements)
- Detects FMR data (fingerprint minutae records) but do not present them
- Textual presentation of barcodes for additional information.
- Automatic mode for checking multiple barcodes faster.
- Currently supported languages: german and english.

Limitations: BildCodeScanner has some limitations and intended missing functions:

- It does not automatically check if a picture is “valid”.
- Extracted pictures can not be saved.
- Extracted pictures can not be modified by the app or the user.
- Texts from scanned barcodes can not be saved.
- It can not be guaranteed that every PDF417 barcode can be detected. Some barcodes are invalid or are damaged too much.

Scanning barcodes:

The scanner is not an essential part of this app. This app can call the scanner (or install it separately automatically) and retrieve its results. The quality and speed of detection of PDF417 barcodes is not under the control of this app!
In some situations, the free scanner cannot read the PDF417-barcodes correctly or needs to much time for it. In this case, you can use an external/other app to read the barcode and copy&paste the contents with the clipboard into this app.
