About Kontrol Traktor Controller

THIS APP IS A TRAKTOR AND VIRTUAL DJ MIDI CONTROLLER. IT DOES NOT PLAY AUDIO ON THE PHONE!

- FIRST DJ CONTROL APP WITH REVOLUTIONARY TOUCHSTRIP
- LOW LATENCY WIFI MIDI COMMUNICATION WITH NI TRAKTOR, SERATO, VIRTUAL DJ, VDJ ...
- HOT CUES, EQ's, FILTERS, FX CONTROLS, REMIX DECKS (beta), LOOP CONTROLS, CUE, SYNC, ...

Control Traktor and Virtual DJ with Android for free! Mappings for both apps available!

When I searched for DJing applications on the Play Store I found nothing but low-quality apps so I made my own. It acts as a MIDI DJ Control interface emulation for Native Instruments Traktor, Serato, VirtualDJ, ...

The upgrade removes the ad and offers access to Decks C&D, a basic remix deck control, access to the deck fx buttons, fx knobs and a loop control.

I bought this to try it out through wifi and it's quite good. There are some things to improve though. When scrolling, it always skips 1 line e.g. from 1 - 3 - 5 - 7 or 2 - 4 - 6 - 8 thus, either just even nrs. or odd nrs. Same in the browser when trying to select tracks. Also, sometimes the play buttons don't react... only the cue button does which you have to hold down to hear the track play. Please, fix these issues and your app will deserve a 5 star rating. It's a fun app.

I'm still very new to this AND T traitor. That said, any phone at that can run several different devices has got to be on the right track. And that controls look awesome too.

Hi. I like the idea of this, also the great design.. But for me it doesn't work.. At all. I have Galaxy s5 and Galaxy Tab E, and on both all buttons are gray except Vol, A/B, EQ, RMX, LOOP, BRWS, TMP. These are all the functions I can press and they work. Did like you said in the instructions , but don't get connected on my macbook. It looks like it's connected but don't get any midi feedback through WiFi. Also USB says USB loading like forever.. I really want to give it a shot before buying full features. Thanks

Hey. The app is really cool. Works well. Great creation. My only comment would be, on a samsung the back button on the phone is right next to the top right of the volume control. Basically I end up accidently pressing the back button when I'm trying to use the volume. Is there any way the volumes could be moved inwards, just away from the edge really? Have to keep reconnecting the app otherwise. Cheers

This software got what I would say really good potential, however to use this with for an example Tractor, there are quite many troubleshooting steps. It took me about an hour to get everything to work properly. However I find this software to be really good if you use exactly the settings the manufacturer of this software recommended. There are some tweeks that should be implemented such as autofade and auto activate FX:es when you switch FX:es in Tractor. But here is my seal of approval, It works as designed even with USB and the delay is resonable. And it is worth the money to upgrade, I would have even charged a dollar more since there are not alot of other apps out there that can provide this kind of functionality, Yet ;) Next stop, Xamarin and multi platform support.

Yeah got this app months ago and after frustratingly not being able to figure it out then with email to support for the app, I gave up due to being led on that it was a problem with my internet... Here I am again months later downloading drivers and MiDiHub and even after I connect to a port I get nothing from Traktor to use my phone as a controller

Hey man, just wanted to say that this app is really quite extraordinary. Out of all the other midi controller apps out there this is the only one that seems to work out of the box. I have it linked to Ableton and can confirm it works just like a normal controller. A few things though: 1) it would be nice to be able to have different layouts available to switch, eg. One with tons of faders, one with buttons, one with knobs. 2) there's a little bug with using two controllers at the same time. Keep up the good

Honestly i was on the verge of buying a ddj-sp1 or an x1 to satisfy the lack of functionality of my djm compared to previous hybrid mixers and controllers. But after giving this a try it has literally saved me hundreds, Sure the latency isn't as good but it definitely isn't a problem. In short this app just does everything I could possibly ask for and want. Seriously give it a shot I don't even touch my laptop with serato or traktor anymore

A nice midi remote control. I understand why you added an "up-sale", but it's pointless when you can just midi map a button you don't use for any function. But to be honest, the only time I use this is when I need to run to the bathroom while I dj with Serato . And for that, it works fantastically.

I don't have money now to buy it...and there's. Latency problem...but dude it helped me a lot...I am in awe for what you did...it made it so simple...looking for it for days...and now I have it...just I can't buy now but a humble suggestion would be to make the interface a bit more friendly... though it connected in seconds.. thank you bro !!!

The only thing that would be VERY usefull for me, would be "functionality without the need for a wifi network". A direct usb connection would be good for portability. Hopefully, that would also decrease the latency between pressing buttons on app and the software on computer? (I'm only guessing though?). But otherwise, works brilliantly so far!! :D Good stuff!!

Ive been playing around with this in virtual dj thanks for the mappers & device files works a treat I'm gonna upgrade it for full features in morning when my money goes in the bank so far I'm happy with this brilliant app I would like to see added feature of sampler banks and in the future it would be awesome if you could design a app where the users could design there own personalised skins and layouts like assigning knobs & sliders maybe a forum for sharing layouts and mixes so on

Does it work with other djing softwares like mixxx and etc?

D70%
by D####:

Some suggestions though, a toggle on/off on shift button and the vibrations on the "0" point is a bit annoying, dont think it's needed, more like a vertical or horizontal gesture to inc./dec. volumes where it almost has a "click" to center.. And maybe a cool startup skin. But its a very cool app

It works well. I will definitely use it when I get serato next month when I get paid. For all those people who get mad because it doesn't play sound, it's a midi controller. The controllers that DJs use don't make sound without software. Do your research people. Thank you for this app. I will buy it when I can and I will use it in my DJing. If you would like to hear my remixes please look up DJ DROPOFF on youtube. I work hard on them and I would like it if you checked them out, likes them, and subscribe.

I honestly give this a five star because I do not have to strain my eyes looking at my PC again, and plus it is a controller! For those complaining and giving this app a bad rating just because it does not make a sound, it is a midi controller, like the DJ sets. It is not supposed to make a sound anyway. But overall, I like this app, even though I use other apps to control VDJ. Thanks ✌✌

So I used this with Serato Dj and it worked great. I was able to quickly midi map the buttons to suit my needs. I'm just wondering if I always have to be connected to a network, or can it work by USB only? If it will then I'd be happy to buy it.

Selecting and changing multiple dials and sliders at once is buggy... Choppy and inconsistent. Seems like you can only change multiple dials at once if you simultaneously select them at the same time. If you start to change dial A, you can't change dial B unless you have initially selected it along with dial A (you have to touch the screen with 2 fingers to begin with, you can't start changing a dial with 1 finger then after use the other finger to change a another dial) ------- Another gripe is that the dial values correspond to your finger angle relative to the dial center and not the finger distance. For a touch interaction it should be based on the distance from the dial itself and not the rotation. For example selecting a dial and moving my finger to the right should gradually increase the value. Instead what will happen is that the dial will be immediately set to the 90degree position and stay there. -------- Also the vibration when a dial is set to center is too long, the vibe length should be configurable

I just DL'd and installed and only messed around for a sec, dev makes setting it up easy, very detailed instructions. That mixed with the fact that dev seems very commited to building the app further and wants the consumer to play a big part in helping with the process, earns 5 stars in my book (might've been my first ever lol, true story and i dl a lot). Keep up the good work dev, that kind of dedication is what creates monster success in any industry. Cheering for you bro, good luck :)
