Erleben Sie die Naturschätze Südwestfalens. In 50 besonders geeigneten Gebieten können Sie Natur erleben: vom urtümlichen Wald, über Moore und Felsen, artenreiche Wiesen und Weiden bis hin zu Flussauen und Bachtälern.

Südwestfalen
Die Region Südwestfalen bildet den südlichen Teil Westfalens, der größtenteils durch die Mittelgebirge geprägt ist, aber auch die Tiefebene des Kreises Soest mit der Lippeaue umfasst.
Die fünf Kreise Soest, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Kreis Olpe und Kreis Siegen-Wittgenstein haben die Regionale 2013 des NRW- Strukturförderprogrammes erfolgreich durchgeführt und treten seitdem gemeinsam unter dem Namen Südwestfalen auf.
Von den Niederungen der Westfälischen Bucht bis in die Hochlagen des Südwestfälischen Berglandes finden wir in den Landschaften Südwestfalens zahlreiche Naturschätze. Die attraktiven Schutzgebiete entwickeln sich zunehmend zu Anziehungspunkten für an der Natur interessierte Menschen.
Die Vielfalt der Lebensräume in Südwestfalen beherbergt eine Reihe von seltenen Tier- und Pflanzenarten. Große zusammenhängende ungestörte Waldbereiche sind Lebensraum von besonders störungsempfindlichen Arten, wie z.B. des Schwarzstorchs oder der Wildkatze.
Helfen Sie mit, die Natur zu erhalten:
• Bleiben Sie auf den Wegen.
• Lassen Sie Ihren Hund nur an der Leine laufen.
• Genießen Sie die Ruhe
• Nehmen Sie Müll wieder mit oder entsorgen sie ihn.
• Feuer machen und Grillen ist grundsätzlich, außer an extra dafür vorgesehenen Plätzen, verboten.
• Lassen Sie Blumen dort wachsen, wo sie stehen.
• Parken Sie Ihr Auto auf den ausgewiesenen Parkplätzen.

Südwestfalen
The South Westphalia region forms the southern part of Westphalia, which is largely dominated by the mountain range, but also covers the lowlands of the circle Soest with Lippeaue.
The five circles Soest, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe and Siegen-Wittgenstein district have the Local 2013 of the NRW Structural funding program successfully carried out and come together since then under the name of South Westphalia.
From the lowlands of the Westphalian Bight and in the highlands of the South Westphalian mountain country we see the landscapes Südwestfalen numerous natural treasures. The attractive protected areas will progressively become attractions for people interested in the natural man.
The variety of habitats in South Westphalia hosts a number of rare plant and animal species. Large contiguous undisturbed forest areas are habitat of particularly sensitive species such as the black stork or the wildcat.
